The opening exhibition of Gallery 27 Wednesday September 2nd 2009 6pm till late.

Invitation

You are joyfully invited to the opening exhibition of Gallery27. Gallery 27 is a new space for ‘art’ which while more often being called our home, it will at times transform to become a gallery. The first exhibition opens for one night only at 6pm on Wednesday September 2nd at 6pm. Encompassing many disciplines the exhibtion will (hopefully) represent the work of a broad array of artists, depending on the response to our...

Call for Submission

It is not compulsory to create a piece of art for the exhibition in order to attend, but it is advised Avant Garden is open to all ‘artists’ to submit proposals for work in any medium. Already there is sculpture, performance and video. All work must exist in the garden or be viewed from the garden. The kitchen window will be turned into a large projection screen for video work etc. The garden is composed of patios, flower beds and pepples. There is one big tree. The garden is also located right beside the river tolka and this can be used for placing work in. Beyond the river is the park. Work can also be placed there, but in a way that doesn’t upset Dublin City council too much. There is no theme or underlying purpose to the exhibition. All proposals, which need not be long winded, should be sent to us no later than Sunday August 30th We do not anticipate rejecting any proposals. We just want to include all artists in the catalogue. To view the growing number of exhibiting artists and more information you can find us on facebook and twitter.
