Attention:

Directors Corner:

The 2009 Silver Pen Writing Contest is coming up! Each year Salt Lake County Aging Services sponsors a writing contest for anyone over the age of 60. This year’s essay theme is “Aging Gracefully in the 21st Century.” So get out your pens everyone and write something—there is a 500 word limit so it doesn’t have to be long. Turn in your masterpieces at the center by September 9, 2009. Thanks to everyone who helped with the 4th of July fundraiser. We raised just over $1000 for the Advisory Council fund. You all make a great team— thanks for all you did to make it a success!! Thanks for all you have done to contribute in a positive way to our community. I appreciate your generosity in donating money to the Elizabeth Loop family for her medical bills, the donation to the Magna 4th of July celebration, and the beautiful cross stitch that was given to the paramedics. Your thoughtfulness has blessed so many people!! Marianne

Starting this summer we are having a Wear a color day. August will be “Wear Blue”, so everyone wear something “Blue” on August 3rd. Attention: The Magna Senior Center now has a Blog. Check it out at: www.magnaseniors.blogspot. com We have pictures on there that you can check out. If you don’t know how ask Sherry Mousley, or a staff member to help you.
