The LoopLoop-ez The Lopez Family Newsletter
As we are already in the fall season, we are at a very important step in our preparation to return to Argentina. We had a great summer because the Lord did great things in the lives of people of all ages and we were able to be used by Him. We want you to know that we are very grateful for your prayers and friendship. We are reminded of you in our prayers for you . In Christ, Stephen & Debby Lopez

Summer In Review This summer we have been serving at the Word of Life Inn as we have been raising support to go to Argentina as missionaries. We have been blessed with the opportunity to meet many new friends as we have been at this important step of preparing to go to the mission field.
Debora and me sharing at our missionary share night a the Inn.
Debora and I have been serving tables in the dinning hall for the summer. After my knee injury I was asked to help out with promoting the fall conferences. Towards the end of the summer we had a meeting with all of our staff to reflect what the Lord did in the lives of all of our guests/campers this season. Our Director, Don Lough, shared that combining all the salvation decisions of all our camping ministries here in New York (Inn, Ranch, Island, Campground) there were a total of 1,200 people who received Christ as their personal Savior! Praise the Lord! We thank the Lord that we could have been a part of this and we thank you for your prayers! It is a very exciting thing to serve the Lord and to know that what you are doing is making the difference in the lives of people for eternity. Also while we were able to share with the summer volunteers and encourage them in their walk with the Lord. Debora and I thank the Lord for the opportunities we were given to pour out into other peoples lives. It was a busy and awesome summer. We miss everybody already!

Surgery Update
Wimp or Warrior?
We thank you all for praying for my knee surgery. It all went better than we could imagine! The day before the surgery my mom drove up to stay with Debora and me during the operation. Also the Lord provided in great ways for us financially.
“What do you have, a water pistol?” This was the response of a captain to a soldier who was scared in battle. The soldier screamed in battle “I cant do it, they have guns”, while being surrounded by enemy gunfire. Sound familiar? It was the dramatic scene of Nicolas Cage in “The Rock”, while trying to take out enemy terrorists in California. Let me ask you a question: Do you feel unable to impact the people around you? This is a common feeling among some Christians but the reality is that the Lord has given us all we need to impact. It is not a question of how we feel but what God’s Word says. 2 Peter 1:3 says “ ! as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness!that you may be partakers of the divine nature!” We have not been bought with Euros, Stocks, EBay or Credit, but with the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:19)! It is God’s divine plan to use...you! It’s not your choice either. It is His will. But some may ask how we can make this a reality in our lives? The answer is simple. It is found in Colossians 1:9-10 and it is to “be filled with the knowledge of His will!that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, being fruitful in every good work; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power!” Simply to be filled with His divine power starts with being filled with His Word. Strangely enough we have time for everything. But do we have time for Him to speak to us? Will you be a wimp or a warrior for God? Start today with His strength and not yours own!
The surgery went by very quick. Once I was in the operating room, it took about 20 minutes. After that I had to wait for the anesthesia to wear off and I was free to go. My mom drove us back and Debby took care of me. I was in bed and couldn’t move for about 3 days! I praise the Lord for my wife and all of her help! I literally could not do anything without her! I know many of you have been praying for me and I greatly thank you for your prayers. I was very encouraged by all of the phone calls and emails! It was hard to respond to everybody while I was recovering the first few days because I could hardly move! But thank you all so much. I still will be recovering this month. Please pray for my complete recovery. Psalm 141:7 “O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.”
Their Perspective This month our ministry in Argentina with the PBB started September 4th. We met many teenagers this summer that desired to go to Argentina to study at our program. Many of them made decisions to go and are now in Buenos Aires. One student, Nicky, who is from our home church just had a going away party at the church. Our youth ministry came and everybody shared to him about the impact he left in their lives and how they will miss him. I could not help but to praise the Lord for the time we were able to serve in Jacksonville Chapel and for the lives that have been changed as a result. We were blessed to see all the love and support the teens showed in support of Nicky leaving in effort to follow the Lord with his life.
Our Financial Standpoint We are excited to share with you that we have reached 82% of our monthly support range! Once we reach full support we will return to Argentina immediately. Also we are raising funds for a vehicle before we return to Argentina. Approximately we are looking to raise $10,000 for the vehicle. If you want to help please visit our web site or contact us for more information how to help. Pray for us as we look to fulfill this goal!
Nicky and many other teenagers that go to study God’s Word in Argentina in our program don’t have the perspective that it is a year of college. For them it is a year of surrendering their lives to be used by God in missions. Many of them take a time out of their plans to study at college or work to dedicate one whole year to study completely the Word of God and to serve in ministry opportunities. Let’s remember them in prayer as they are on the mission field! Pray for these students as they take this important step to follow the Lord with their lives. Pray that they will grow in this step of faith.
