Some Interesting Projects Undertaken:

EMAIL SPAM DETECTION: An outlook add‐in was developed to detect spam in email. This add‐in looks at all mails that arrive and classify accordingly. The engine learns, based on us

telling it what is spam email and what isn’t. This is told both initially and as we receive more messages. The tool creates separate datasets for individual users, groups, or sites that will each develop their own ideas about spam. This engine uses various document filtering techniques like Rule based, Bayesian etc to classify email. The techniques used here can be extended to classify various websites into different categories based on their content. This add‐in was developed using C# and deployed using Visual Studio 2005. RESOURCE ALLOCATION OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM: This system looks at a resource allocation problem as an optimization problem and tries to give the best solution by providing various search strategies and cost function. The cost function is designed by looking at the various inputs and outputs. Some of the search strategies used here includes Random Searching, Hill Climbing, and Genetic Algorithms etc. REMOTE PROCESS MANAGEMENT: This system looks at the applications, processes, performance and monitoring in the remote server. The user has the over all control of the resources/process that happens in the remote server. SIMULATION OF INTERNET FIREWALL: This tool used the technique of Intelligent Packet Filtering Firewall, Validation of Services using Proxies; Network Address Translation in a Dual - homed Client – Server Architecture. CODE GENERATOR: This is an automated tool which generates C++, Java and .Net Class Files from the input xml. This was developed using c#. Extracurricular activities:   
