1. As a catholic, I withstand Xenophanes’ concept in denying the existence of God. In his status as a monotheist, I do agree that there is only one God. Zeno do believe in the existence of God so do I. I oppose the concept of denying God’s existence even in terms of religion, for I was raised as a Christian. I grew up as a God fearing person and in an environment where most of the people have a strong faith in Him. I do believe that he exist and so as our lives. Somehow, I agree on what Anaximander said that we must be warned that what the origin is, will also be the ending because as a Christian, even when it comes to religion, the bible states that everything came from dust and everything will someday, again turn to dust. Our life came from God and we must treasure it. When it comes to reality,, “there is no such thing as a chance, all thing happens for a cause” is the famous words from Democritus that I do agree with. Even the lines from Diogenes that “What makes you happy, do it” is what I also believe in. But, I barely know that not everything that will make us happy is right. We must live our lives to the fullest but know what is right or wrong. 2. The quests of the Philosophers have made a big contribution to the emergence of the psychological disciplines. The philosophies have been somehow the root of all thoughts that were compiled as a manner in which disciplines and questions helped in identifying the various behaviors that exist in this world. The thoughts of the philosophers have been the foundation of all the strong arguments and facts that made psychology emerge. 3. If I were living during the times of Ancient Greece, my philosophy in life would be similar to Democritus and Diogenes. Like in what I have said earlier, ever since, I do believe that everything that comes our way has its purpose. Often times, its purpose is to educate us and somehow teach us and be able to learn something from what we have experienced or what we are experiencing. In life, problems do exist but its purpose is to make us a better person and for us to realize that God is always be there for us and will never leave us behind. Also, like Diogenes, I also believe that we must do whatever thing that could bring us happiness. But there must always be a limitation in everything we do. We must bear in our minds that not all things that we want especially the things that can make us happy is right. 4. Associationism studies how ideas can be hooked together and how many laws of association there should be. One of its influences is Mill’s concept who believed that the mind is active, which is opposition to his father's belief that the mind was passive. He developed the idea of mental chemistry in which he believed the sum of two ideas compounded together is greater than the sum of the individual ideas. Along with Mill's research, he wrote several books which also influenced the work of James, Gestalt, and Wundt.

On the otherhand, one of the most influential works of empiricists in psychology is the doctrine that was first explicitly formulated by John Locke in the 17th century. Locke argued that the mind is a tabula rasa which means "clean slate" or "blank tablet"; on which experiences leave their marks. Such empiricism denies that humans have innate ideas or that anything is knowable without reference to experience. Also according to the empiricist view, for any knowledge to be properly inferred or deduced, it is to be gained ultimately from one's sense-based experience.
