To declare candidacy at Torrey Pines High School, all of the following criteria must be met. 1. Obtain, complete, and return the attached Declaration for Office, Petition for Office, and Candidate Contact Card to Lori Wilson in the Student Center by Friday, April 28th, 2006 at 3:00pm. A. Candidates for ASB appointed positions must print 2 copies of the Petition for Office, for a total of 50 signatures. 2. Submit a platform statement and photograph clearly showing your face online at http://elections.tphsasb.com/platform by Friday, April 28th, 2006 at 3:00pm. 3. Attend a mandatory Candidate’s Meeting on Thursday, May 11th, 2006 at Lunch in the AV-A (new) room. 4. Campaign according to the provided policies May 22 - 26. Elections will be held online Tuesday and Wednesday and at lunch in the Quad on Thursday and Friday of that week. A. Posters may not be hung before May 22nd, 2006, 7:00am. More information about the posting policies will be provided at the Candidate’s Meeting. B. Interviews for Appointed positions will be conducted during 3rd period on May 23rd. 5. Election results will be posted on Friday, May 26th, 2006 at about 2:30pm, providing that ALL campaign posters have been removed from campus.
