What Does "As In Adam" Mean? Hello Mike, I have been reading many of your articles on your website and I think they are just great. I am having a hard time understanding exactly what you believe as it pertains to universal salvation, because as you don't believe in universal salvation you also do not believe in an eternal hell and fire. So if their is no universal salvation where does the ones who do not believe go. Could you please just answer this in plain talk before you start using scripture. Do you believe in universal salvation if not exactly what? I personally right now don't believe in it and I do believe in hell and fire. In plain talk first is everyone is going to be saved? And if everyone is going to heaven (and I know you hear this question many of times) then what about sin (plain talk first)? Because if that is the case their will be a strong temptation to sin. And last question hell and fire? Sooooo many scripture that talks about it. I know, I know strong delusion might be my problem. Hell and fire represent sin which is death. God had a lot of people killed in the old testament and those deaths were executed because of sin. Thanks, M____ Hi M____, Thank you for your questions. You ask: I am having a hard time understanding exactly what you believe as it pertains to universal salvation, because as you don't believe in universal salvation you also do not believe in an eternal hell and fire. In all due respect for your sincerity in writing this e-mail, I cannot imagine what you could possibly have read on iswasandwillbe.com that would lead you to think that I do not believe in universal salvation. "In plain talk," Yes, everyone is going to be saved. Sorry, but I cannot oblige your request about not using scripture. I have no interest in exchanging opinions with anyone. Opinions are a total waste of time. They vary with the number of people who are interviewed. But these words do not vary; they are not opinions; these words are the Truth. Here is the answer as to who will be saved: 1 Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. There is your answer. It's not an opinion; it is "thy word is truth." John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth
Have you read What Is Life Aionios? You simply cannot understand the true definition of the Greek words 'aion,' a noun, and 'aionios', its adjective and still believe in eternal torment. "Life aionios" and "aionios torment" both come to an end. But "immortality" has no end. Ask yourself a simple question: Did you get to choose with your so-called "free will" if you wanted to be born into this world "in Adam" so you could live, at the most, 120 years and then die? Well, the truth of God's Word is that "AS in Adam all die, SO in Christ shall all be made alive." You say: "...if everyone is going to heaven (and I know you hear this question many of times) then what about sin (plain talk first)? Because if that is the case their will be a strong temptation to sin. And last question hell and fire? Sooooo many scripture that talks about it. I know, I know strong delusion might be my problem. Hell and fire represent sin which is death. God had a lot of people killed in the old testament and those deaths were executed because of sin." Again, in "plain talk" the symbolic "lake of fire" will deal with all sin of all time. But the "lake of fire" is aionian, it is not eternal. Read What Is Life Aionios? As I said above, you simply cannot be aware of the Biblical definition of the words aion and aionios and still believe in eternal hell fire. The 'fire' of the 'lake of fire' is God's Word and those in whom it lives. Contrary to the rock song and the orthodox Christian doctrines on this subject, 'fire' is not the Devil's friend. It is his mortal enemy. It will burn up all the "wood, hay and stubble in the worst of sinners and in Satan himself, and when all the "wood hay and stubble" is burned up, what becomes of that sinner? "He himself shall be saved." 1 Cor 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones [Truth] , wood, hay, stubble; [False doctrines] 1 Cor 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire ; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Cor 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 1 Cor 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved ; yet so as by fire. [This fire is "already kindled" but culminates in 'the lake of fire.'] Were you even aware that that verse was in God's Word? The sinner suffers loss of rulership during the millennium and judging of angels in the lake of fire, but he himself is saved by the lake of fire, which is those who dwell therein: Isa 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? Isa 33:15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; Who dwells with the devouring fire? Who dwells with everlasting, [Hebrew - olawm - same as the Greek word aion] burnings? According to orthodox Christian doctrine it is the Devil who dwells in eternal fire. But is that what scripture teaches? No, it is not! It is "He that walks righteously, speaks uprightly and despised the gain of oppressions..." That is who dwells in
aionian fire and who burns up all the "wood, hay and stubble;" all the false doctrines like 'eternal hell fire tormenting 'immortal souls for all eternity.' You say: " Hell and fire? Sooooo many scripture that talks about it." Where are all the scriptures that talk about 'hell fire?' There are but three places in all of God's word where the phrase 'hell fire' appears in the King James translation. It never once appears in all of the Old Testament, and when it does appear in the New Testament, the Word 'hell' is usually translated from the Greek word 'gehenna' which is a valley just south of Jerusalem. It is not some fabled 'eternal lake of fire.' It should be of great interest to any seeker of Truth to know why the Catholic King James translators saw fit to use one single English word 'hell' to translate what the holy spirit saw fit to express with three different Greek words; 'gehenna...hades...and tartaroos?' God's Word never contradicts itself. "All in Adam" will be saved "even as... all in Adam die." But sin is never overlooked to be made light of. That is why the very next verse in 1 Corinthians 15 tells us that all are not made alive at the same time: 1 Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Cor 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 1 Cor 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1 Cor 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 1 Cor 15:26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed is death. All will "be made alive...in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at His coming." Then all the rest are 'made alive' at 'the end.' In the end "death, hell and the grave, are cast into the lake of fire" and that is where "death is destroyed." The wages of sin is death: Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. "Death is destroyed in the lake of fire: 1 Cor 15:26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed is death. Rev 20:14 (a) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire... The only thing that seems to makes this Truth appear to contradict other scripture is the false teaching about the Greek word 'aion.' Read What Is Life Aionios? Just type that title into the search box at the upper right corner of the iswasandwillbe.com home page and read that paper. If after reading that paper you still have questions, then please feel free to write back to me and ask your questions. You have not been made aware of the meaning of the Greek words aion and aionios or the Hebrew word olawm. You must first come to see how these words have been twisted to conform to false orthodox Christian doctrines, before you can hope to see the truth about who is our loving heavenly Father. Our Father will not tolerate sin in our lives, but when sin is in our lives, He is responsible for "all things." Pro 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. God is capable of 'hedging' Satan out of all of our lives. Yet He has not done so. Read the paper entitled After The Counsel Of His Own Will. It will open your eyes to what the scriptures reveal
about man's will and God's own will. It will demonstrate that while God will not tolerate sin, He is completely capable of 'preparing the hearts' of all men to accept His loving disciplines and be converted into sons who love a Father who loves them. Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Mike
