The Armor of Elohiym 2 Timothy 2:3,4 “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” Armor to keep from being wounded. Things for offense, things for defense. Imagine some man going out in haste with only part of his armor on. The enemy could see that he is not well-armed. We cannot do it in ourselves. We are warring against spirits. It takes an effort. We are going to need Elohiym in order to stand in the evil day. Pray that Elohiym will gird us with His armor. It will make us better soldiers. The Head Ephesians 6:17 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” If hit in head, could get knocked out. Then enemy could slay you. Helmet very important. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 “But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hope in His mercy, hope in Him. The Mind Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.” Romans 8:5-8 “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Ever need to be spiritually-minded. This is a warfare for our souls. (Being spiritually-minded really helps us in the warfare.) Ephesians 4:23 “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;” Take on the mind of ha Mashiyach. 1 Corinthians 2:16 “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” If mind can really be renewed, we can really know El’s will. Things of the world are going to pass away. Having renewed mind can help us to be victorious. With temptation, men drawn away of own lust.
(James 1:14 “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”) Also, tempted by adversary.—Be able to see temptation for what it is. Colossians 3:12 “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;” Need to be of lowly mind. Need His guidance to help us with our judgement (what we say and do). Colossians 3:1-3 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” 1 Peter 1:13 “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” Soberness of mind. What are we hoping for?—the grace of Elohiym. Titus 2:6 “Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.” 1 Peter 5:8,9 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” “…Whom resist stedfast in the faith” (not be slack) The Tongue and Mouth Psalm 34:1 “I will bless YAHVEH at all times: his praise [shall] continually [be] in my mouth.” Psalm 51:15 “O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.” Psalm 39:1 “I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.” Psalm 17:3 “Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited [me] in the night; thou hast tried me, [and] shalt find nothing; I am purposed [that] my mouth shall not transgress.” Psalm 141:3 “Set a watch, O YAHVEH, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.” Psalm 49:3 “My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart [shall be] of understanding.” The Heart Psalm 51:17 “The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” Trust in Him, not be troubled. Jeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Heart kept in this place.
Deuteronomy 11:13 “And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the YAHVEH your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,” To love Him and serve Him with all our heart. Psalm 24:4 “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Proverb 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life.” The Sword Ephesians 6:17 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” His word can really be a sword to fight off the enemy. The truth. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” We want His sword to stay in our hand. The Hand Job 17:9 “The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.” Keep hands reaching out for Elohiym, not for the world. The world defiles. (Ecclesiastes 7:18 “[It is] good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.”) The Shield Ephesians 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Above all. So much doubt and unbelief—“There is no Elohiym,” “You can’t be healed.” This shield can really deflect those darts. In the natural, they sometimes put poison on the tips of darts. It can kill someone. Doubt is poison to the soul. One faith. (Ephesians 4:5 “One Lord, one faith, one baptism,”), one truth—This can quench all the deception. Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” Put our trust in Him. Psalm 91:4 “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.” In the natural, there are birds that really want to protect their young. His word, when rightly-divided, can be a shield. Psalm 59:11 “Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.” Genesis 15:1 “After these things the word of YAHVEH came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward.” Psalm 5:12 “For thou, YAHVEH, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as [with] a shield.”
As Abraham found favor walking humbly and fearing Him. The Breastplate Ephesians 6:14 “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;” Breastplate protects heart. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 “But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” The Loins Ephesians 6:14 “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;” Isaiah 11:5 “And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.” The Bowels Colossians 3:12 “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;” The Feet Ephesians 6:15 “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” There is strength in proclaiming the gospel. Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” Proverb 4:26,27 “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” Psalm 119:101 “I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.” Psalm 119:105 “Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Feet that be swift in running to mischief, Elohiym hates. Proverb 6:18 “An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,” I hope that Elohiym’s word can guide our feet.
