Armand Frank Martinotti September 18, 1936 – October 8, 2008
A concelebrated Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Portland for Armand Frank Martinotti, who died Oct. 8 at age 72. Recitation of the rosary will precede the Mass at 9:30 a.m. Armand Frank Martinotti was born Sept. 18, 1936, in Portland. He graduated from Washington High School and received bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Portland. He taught English and coached all sports at St. Joseph School in Pendleton and then was an English teacher and basketball and track coach for North Catholic High School for nine years and then for La Salle High School. He and his wife owned Martinotti's Cafe & Deli in downtown Portland for the past 30 years. He was a member of the church for more than 45 years. In 1956, he married Dixie Davis. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Cecelia Martinotti and Dione Langen; sons, Frank, Vincent and Edward; brother, William; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
