Level 5- Argumentative Essay Self-Assessment Rubric

Format: My essay is well-formatted (title centered, first line indented, margins on both sides, skipped a line after each paragraph)



Content and organization: Introduction: My hook has at least two statements. My thesis contains both sides of the argument and a clear claim/position

In each body paragraph: My topic sentence argues both sides. My topic sentence has a specific, clear idea. I have at least two examples to explain/support my position.

Conclusion: I rephrased the thesis. I summarized the main points of my argument. I added a final comment. Transitions: I used varied contrast /addition transitions appropriately.
