PLANE FIGURES The figures which can be drawn in one plane are called plane figures. For example:1. Triangles 2. and Circles
Triangle:- Triangle is a geometric figure that consist of three points connected by three sides. Area of Triangle:- ½*base*height For example:- Given a triangle whose sides are 4cm, 3cm, and 5cm.Find the area of the triangle. Solution:- To calculate the Area of the Triangle Given:- Height= 4 cm Base= 3 cm Area= 1/2*base*height =1/2*3*4 = 6 cm2
Circle:- A circle is a closed plane figure consisting of all those points of the plane which are at a constant distance from a fixed point O.
The fixed point O is called the center of the circle and the constant distance OA= r say, is called the radius of the circle. Area of circle:- ∏r2 Where value of ∏ is 22/7 i.e. 3.14 r is the radius of the circle. For example:- given a circle whose radius is 3 cm. Calculate the area of the circle. Solution:- To calculate the area of circle:Given:- Radius r = 3 cm Area = ∏r2
