(20) The content is given clearly and concisely with a logical progression of ideas and supporting information. Information is accurate. It defines and describes well the topic.

(15) The content is written with a logical progression of ideas and information. Ideas are logically presented but some concepts were no visualized. Includes some information that can make the topic clear.

TEXT ELEMENT S 20%

(10) The fonts are easy-toread and point size varies appropriately for headings and text. Use of italics, bold, and indentions enhances readability. Text is appropriate in length for the target audience and to the point. The background colors enhance the readability of text.

(7) Sometimes the fonts are easy-toread, but in a few places the use of fonts, italics, bold, long paragraphs, color or there is no contrast on the backgrounds detracts and does not enhance readability.

GRAPHIC S, SOUND AND ANIMATIO N 30%

(15) The graphics, sound and/or animation assist in presenting overall theme and make visual connections that enhance understanding of concept, ideas and relationships about the topic. Images are created using proper size and resolution, and all images enhance the content.

(4) The text is written with no errors in grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.

(3) The text is clearly written with little or no editing required for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

(10) The content is vague in conveying a point of view and does not create a strong sense of purpose. Concepts and ideas are partially logical when presented with some concepts not visualized. (5) Overall readability is difficult with lengthy paragraphs, too many different fonts, dark or busy backgrounds overuse of bold or lack of appropriate indentions of text. (5) Some of the graphics, sounds, and/or animations seem unrelated to the topic/theme and do not enhance the overall concepts. Images are too large small in size. Images are poor cropped or the color/resolution is fuzzy. (2) Spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors distract or impair readability. ( 3 or more errors)

NEEDS IMPOVEMENT (5) The content lacks a clear point of view and logical sequence of information. Information is incomplete and incorrect. Sequencing of ideas is unclear.

(3) The text is extremely difficult to read with long blocks of text and small point size of fonts, inappropriate contrasting colors, and poor use of headings, subheadings, indentions, or bold formatting.

(3) The graphics sounds, and/or animations are unrelated to the content. Graphics do not enhance understanding of the content, or are distracting decorations that create a busy feeling and detract from the content.

(1) Errors in spelling, capitalization, punctuation, usage and grammar repeatedly distract the reader and major editing and revision is required. ( more than 5 errors) TOTAL
