Section 3.1 • Make sure you know both limit definitions for a derivative. • Geometric Interpretation of a Derivative Handout. • Know how to find the equation of a tangent line through a certain point. • Know how to interpret derivatives as rates of change with certain situations. • Be able to find a derivative given a chart.

Section 3.2 • Be able to sketch a graph of the derivative of a function without a calculator. • Know all theorems and definitions from this section. • Know the three conditions that can cause a function to not be differentiable.

Section 3.3 • Know ALL differentiation formulas • Look at proofs we did in class for some of these formulas!

Section 3.4 • Be able to work word problems that use derivatives to solve a variety of questions.

Test Format • Multiple Choice with calculator and without calculator. • Problem Section with calculator and without. • 1 Proof • 1 Essay (derivative worksheet) • 1-2 old AP Test Questions
