Another Jesus Get the audio: Part 1, Part 2 I told you all what I would be speaking on: What did Paul Mean By “Another Jesus?” We really need to know the answer to that question Here is just how important it is to answer that question: John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. “Life eternal” is not defined as ‘unending life.’ The scriptural definition of ‘life eternal’ is “to know God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.”

What Does Paul Mean By “Another Christ?” Who Is He And Where Is He Being Preached? 2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity [Greek- haplotes-572-singleness]; that is in Christ. Ephesians 6:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ Colossians 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. For those of you who don’t know me, I am the father of 5 children. My wife is Sandi. We had two sons then we had two daughters. Then that was all the children we were going to have. But then, out of the blue, eleven years after all the babies were finished with, here comes another baby…Austin. Well, way before Austin, back about 1975, Sandi had just changed Tanya’s diaper and asked Wayne to put the wet diaper into the washing machine and put it on the wash cycle. Wayne asks “Mommie, what is a cycle?” Sandy tells Wayne that the washing machine has a wash cycle, a rinse cycle and Shawnda pipes up and adds “Yes, and a motorcycle.” Just like little Shawnda, Christians do not know the difference between the real Jesus and “another Jesus.” It’s the same word but it is an entirely different subject. The cycle on a washing machine has nothing in common with a motorcycle, other than the fact that they are both referred to as a ‘cycle.’ And so it is with “another Jesus.” “Another Jesus” has nothing in common with the Jesus, Paul and all of the apostles, preached other than the fact that he is referred to as Jesus.

What does it mean to know someone? Genesis 12:11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now,I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? Genesis 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Genesis 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. John 10:26 But ye believe not [my doctrine], because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me [because they know Him]: John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life [”to know God and Christ”]; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. I just want to familiarize you with the Jesus Christ of God’s Word and show you how he differs from “another Christ.”

There Is But One Way To Know Christ 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the [church] world. 1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Everyone confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, but is their Jesus “another Jesus Christ?” There is but one way to know: 2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Jesus said that if you followed Him, then this is what to expect: Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Who are these ‘wolves’ to which Christ is referring? We don’t have to guess: Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock And what is the source of these false prophets? Where are they? Acts 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Matthew 10:17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils [Greeksanhedrin- 4892-church councils], and they [the church] will scourge you in their synagogues; Matthew 10:18 And ye shall be brought before [church] governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. Matthew 10:19 But when they [God’s own people] deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matthew 10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Is this your experience? Not if you are part of the “historical orthodox Christian Church.” Why, you are not very likely to get elected to anything if you are not considered to be an orthodox Christian. So “what do we mean when we say orthodox?” What we mean in this talk is “historical orthodox Christianity.” What we mean is those Christians who agree that we should have “unity in the essentials and tolerance in the non-essentials” What we mean is all Christians who believe that “no one has a comprehensive understanding of the things of God.” The Christ of Orthodoxy

1) Is trying to save the world at this time. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 2) Fights for God and country Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Romans 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3) Grace is an inactive noun: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 4) Faith is without works, resulting in the blasphemous lie known as ‘the sinners (ten second) prayer.” Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 5) Teaches that you are the key to your salvation: Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. 6) “God does not create evil.”- Billy Graham Habakkuk 1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he? 7) Their Christ teaches a trinity. Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: The Christ we preach: 1) Is blinding the eyes of the world at this time.

Romans 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. John 9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine: John 17:10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them. 2) Loves even His enemies. Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 3) Grace is an incredibly active verb, which “chastens us to forsake ungodliness.” Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Titus 2:12 Teaching [Greek-paideuo-chastens] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 4) Faith with works: Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 5) Teaches that God is sovereign: John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Romans 9:11 (For the childrenof God’s house, having the same Father and the same mother] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) Romans 9:12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Romans 9:14 What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid. Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Romans 9:16 So then it [”the purpose of God according to election”] is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but [it is]of God that sheweth mercy. Romans 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the

earth. Romans 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Proverbs 16:1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. 6) Creates evil: Hab 1:13 Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can not look on wickedness with favor. Why do You look with favor On those who deal treacherously? Why are You silent when the wicked swallow up Those more righteous than they? Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: Imake peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Proverbs 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. 1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. 1 Kings 22:23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. Ezekiel 14:9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 7) “To us there is but one God.” Satan did not “become an evil spirit.” That is how he was created: Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. The very first thing God created was Christ: Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; Then through Christ, God created “all things in the heavens and in the earth the sea and all that in them is” in six days. Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. The Godhead is understood by “the things that are made:”

1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and [besides this “one God the Father” there is also] one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 11:36 For of him [”the Lord”], and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. In order to understand the divinity of God, we must look at “the things that are made.” And when we do so in a scriptural way we will not come up with such unscriptural nonsense as the three components of an egg. Neither will we point to the three forms in which water can be seen. What we will do is to point to the marriage union just as the scriptures do. In the scriptures we are told: Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. There it is. There are but two sexes. And we are told that the female came out of the male. Now look at this verse of scripture: 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we byhim. We are told that Christ “came out from the father” just as we are told Eve came out from Adam. It is the marriage union which portrays in scriptural terms these relations between “the things which are not seen.” Neither Christ nor His father are visible to a carnal eye. How they respond to each other is displayed in male and female relationships. The scriptures do not reveal God to us through examples of the three forms of water or the three parts of an egg.

And What Happens When You “Know God And Jesus Christ?” Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. “I don’t love my enemies. That is both impossible and impractical” - That statement is “denying me!” Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Matthew 10:36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own [spiritual] household. Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Walking with Christ is a lonely walk. Christ promised that it would be so. His promises mean ‘All these people ARE wrong:’ Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. But we are never really alone. Christ was never alone: Matthew 12:46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Matthew 12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. Matthew 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? Matthew 12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Conclusion Genesis 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; God told Abraham what He was intending to do to Sodom. God also tells His people today what He intends to do to Sodom. But look at what Sodom has become: Isaiah 1:21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. Isaiah 1:22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water: Isaiah 1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves [who devour widow’s houses]: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow [someone whose husbsnd has died] come unto them. Isaiah 1:24 Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: Who is His enemy? Isaiah 1:1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Isaiah 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. Where is Jerusalem today?

Galatians 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. Galatians 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. This is not speaking of a physical city. It is addressed to: Galatians 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? So where is Jerusalem today? Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Paul Crouch has repeatedly quoted these two verses of scripture to prove the authenticity of his ministry. HE claims that these verses of scripture are a prophecy of the satellite ministry of TBN. I agree with Paul. This is a prophecy of the ministry of TBN: Zechariah 5:1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll. Zechariah 5:2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. Paul Crouch’s willingness to repeatedly quote this verses of God’s Word is a witness against either his own spiritual eyesight, or else it is a witness as to how confident he is that the people who watch TBN never read their own Bibles. Just witness the very next verse: Zechariah 5:3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. Zechariah 5:4 I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof. Spiritual ‘Sodom and Egypt’ are of this mindset: Revelation 18:7 (b): for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Revelation 3:17 Because thou [God’s own church of Laodicea] sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: The church today is exactly where it was while Christ was on the earth Luke 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

Luke 13:33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. John 9:40 And [some] of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Revelation 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Galatians 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free
