I am pleased to announce the successful conclusion of negotiations between AFL and Ngai Tahu, on the AFL acquisition of the Wellington based Ngai Tahu Pacific Catch foodservice and retail operations. AFL will take over control of these operations on 1 October 2009. This marks the first significant step in the Inshore Division retail and foodservice strategy. As part of the Sale and Purchase agreement all the existing Pacific Catch staff will be offered positions with AFL. This is an exciting and progressive move which signals our commitment to the New Zealand market.
