ABSTRACT The Annotated Bibliography discusses the topic “Dyslexia”. The

Information that gets for searching Dyslexia topic is from many materials. There are printed materials, non-printed materials, and electronic materials.

Printed materials are the material that had been printed in many forms. The example of the printed materials is the book, reference work such encyclopedia, dictionary, newspaper, magazine, and journal articles that is written by expert people.

Secondly , non-printed materials are the material that we do not write or printed in paper mostly we watch it or listen to it . The material is such as cassette, Interview, movies and television programmed are an example of non- printed materials.

Finally are the electronic materials. Electronic material is the form of electronically to get the information and easy to know electronically material is we get the information from the internet in using the computer. Electronic materials include CDROM, online database and website is a part of electronic materials that we can learn and studying.

INTRODUCTION “DYSLEXIA” 7

First of all I would like to explain the meaning of DYSLEXIA I got the meaning from dictionary; Dyslexia means technical a difficulty with reading and writing because you are unable to see the differences between the shapes of letter: word blind less. It is mean that dyslexia people hard to read or writing the words but it does not mean them cannot read and write until end. Dyslexia is a chronic neurological disorder that inhibits person’s ability to recognize and process graphic symbols, particularly those pertaining to language. Primary symptoms include extremely poor reading skills them also reading or write the words reverse .As said above dyslexic can not read and write properly but they have some specialties that is they can learn by use of visual thinking skills. Usually research found that dyslexia commonly occur to boy then girl it is because, boy need more attention in their reading ability. The teachers also have to guide the boy student more often then girl. According to Katusic, show that male and female brains process reading differently and that these differences may account for the results of the current study. This is make difference between boy and girl problem in dyslexic.

In dyslexia brain at the left side is difference from normal brain, in learning language we need left brain but dyslexia left brain are difference and it make them hard to read and write. The differences make them also difference from other ,for your information there are many famous people are Dyslexia for example Tom Cruise(famous actor),Mohd Ali(Legend Boxer ), Thomas Alva Edison(inventor and 8

businessman) and many more. That mean dyslexia also can be successful like others.The differences make them think out of the box and it is not mentally retard. There has many problem that has root same as dyslexia such as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Autism, Dyscalculia/Acalculia, Dysgraphia /Agraphia, and Hyperactivity.

This book mentioned about how dyslexia people learn beside them cannot read and write properly. Ron Davis also invention one method that is multi-dimensional thinking (using all the senses) takes place much faster than verbal thinking. It is really help dyslexia people in their reading and writing skills. Besides that for those who never able to read Davis has new approach that is train them by left to right eye movement in reading, and helps them recognize letter groups as words.

DESCRIPTION: In this newspaper it talk about how the difference culture may effected by dyslexia problem. It also mentioned that the treatment for difference language is difference for example Chinese and English .The treatment that use for English dyslexic may not be effective to other language. Chinese speakers have trouble converting symbols into meanings, not letters into sounds like English. The differences in dyslexia children is anomalies in the left temporoparietal region of the brain, an area that helps attribute blocks of sound - called phonemes - to different letters and decodes their meaning.

This website mentioned about there are commonly dyslexia occur to boy but it is just because boy need more attention in learning process and boy also hyperactive. In this website also said that dyslexia can get from parent ,that mean if the father have dyslexia that mean their children might be have dyslexia too(genetically ).
