An Interesting Prospect This is a work in progress so please bear with me. In route to study about the antichrist I tripped over some information that others may find interesting. These pieces I write are only study papers. I post them for information but don’t claim to have any special insight or claim them to be absolute. When it comes to the Word of God, I believe we are all equally able to see His hand though different workings of His hand. That is why I enjoy hear the studies of others. My main reason for posting these to esnips is so that anyone can download a good copy which is difficult to get with a copy past from afgs. This affords you a copy that is already in a format that you can cut to pieces if you like; adding and subtracting what you like for your study. Let me preface this by saying up front, I believe that the Bible is self confirming; any subject that you could possible study will form a chain flowing through different sections of text. We are directed in Isaiah 28 9: Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10: For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: I know that this section of scripture has allowed many to take text out of context and twist it to their desires but we must stick to the principle that any valid subject in the text will have that chain. Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Boy has it ever and ever more in the realm of Biblical knowledge. I would hope to post some information on the antichrist in the future but suffice it to say that at this moment I agree with those that are pointing to the house of Windsor as a candidate. For an in-depth study on this you can’t pass up an amazing book The Antichrist and a Cup of Tea by Tim Cohen. Google it and read the reviews, and then read the book. It truly is a must for a study on the subject. Though the author has his agenda to put forth, as we all do, there are many important and interesting facts to be had. Some time in the future I will add to the subject of this paper, but for now I will state the premise and the backup may come later. At this time there are those that will totally understand this without additional information and I believe it is important enough to just get it out there for others to study and expound on. There is a subject that has been regulated to the back burner or the dump of Christian belief that the Bible seems to be confirming and shutting the mouths of doubters. This topic is about a find I have not yet found expounded on yet anywhere else. It is there in the pages of the Bible and can be gleaned from those pages by using the precept upon precept method. At this point it would be beneficial if you have a background on the teaching of Dr. Gene Scott on the tribes of Israel and the promises of God. There is no where to be found a more concise collection of information on these subjects. But good luck finding it; there are difficulties with
the distribution of the intellectual property of Dr. Gene Scott and a satanic attempt to silence it. It should publish it as he wanted and let the people decide; but I digress. Also of import is a subject I have written on about the timing of the last generation in the last days you may find it here. http://www.esnips.com//r/tf/web/FiguringtheDates So here goes the trip. This is about a section of scripture from Isaiah which Melissa Scott mentioned on a Sunday recently but she skimmed over it and I can’t even remember what she said about it. It is a scripture that had bothered me for about a month before she used it so when she mentioned it I perked up my ears only to hear nothing of importance; so I decided to look at it myself. I asked God to show me what He would have me see from this scripture because for some reason it just bothered me and I wanted Him to show me why. Isaiah was writing in the days of the Northern Kingdom of Israel being taken into captivity by Assyria. He was possibly of the royal line of David and some call him the 5th evangelist. This particular scripture is in the first of three scholarly divisions of Isaiah; this section is prophecy. I read the previous parts of scripture that lead up to this portion and was surprised to find that chapter 6 was about Isaiah’s calling and should have been placed in the beginning of the book chronologically but wasn’t ; it was placed right before chapter seven the part of the scripture that caught my eye. Those familiar with prophecy would take this position to denote that what followed was of extreme importance to Isaiah’s commission. Also we must remember that many times with prophecy that it has multiple fulfillments and when we are observing an historic event the writer projects into the future to a future fulfillment. You can read chapter 6 I’ll start in verse 8 directly after Isaiah was made clean 8: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. 9: And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10: Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. 11: Then said I, Lord, how long? *****NOTICE there is a future projection here that goes beyond the original message. You may not pick up on it today but some day the pieces will fall together for you. You don’t need to get hung up on it. And he answered, until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, 12: And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. ******* forsaking is that speaking of the age of apostasy??? Today. 13: But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof. *******But in the apostasy or unbelief there will be a tenth that will return to be (it says eaten but the original is consumed) as a teil tree and an oak (the root meaning says as a sacrifice.)
Is this speaking of those in the apostasy that are loyal to God’s word; a tenth return to God. This would be in 1948 formation of Israel as they are gathered in unbelief and another fulfillment in the tribulation week of the sealing of the 144,000 as they are gathered in unbelief. Maybe not; at least we know it is speaking of a section of the apostasy that will turn from their forsaking and become a sacrifice or martyrs of some kind both times. This is where it gets interesting. Chapter 7 1: And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it. *******We need to remember the rule of multiple fulfillments and notice the players; we will drop their names and just say who they are. And it came to pass in the days of Judah that Syria and Israel went up toward Jerusalem to war against it but could not prevail against it. So we have Judah/Israel being told that Syria and northern tribes/Israel plan to war against Judah’s main city. 2: And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind. ******Here was a time in ancient history when Ephraim was in league with Syria and if the tribes’ teaching is true (which I believe) and according to the pattern of prophecy there may be other times when Ephraim would be confederate with Syria. I’ll just give it to you and let you ponder the possibility of there being 3 times; 1) in Ahaz day, 2) during the formation of the state of Israel around 1948, 3) and the tribulation period of “Jacob’s trouble”. You may need some history on the forming of the state of Israel you can Google the subject and get all kinds of information. Some from Wikipedia: “The Arabs participated in revolt of Hussein bin Ali against the Ottoman Empire, and in alliance with the British, captured Damascus and other Syrian cities. Faysal, son of Hussein, grand sheriff of Mecca, formed a national government in 1918 in Damascus, which controlled some areas from what was known as greater Syria, which consisted of present day: Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine. It controlled all territories except the Syrian coast including Lebanon, and some southern and coastal parts of Palestine that had been declared French and British controlled areas, and some of them were free territories…..” ****You will find that Britain, which many consider modern day Ephraim/northern kingdom Israel, had control of the Mandate for this area (The British Mandate). They were in control of the vast territory but did not form a large Israel state as was planned; they took a 75% of the land meant for Israel and formed the Arab, Trans Jordan. (Is it surprising that the British Empire had such a downhill spiral at this time) Prior to this around 1915 Britain was in league with the Arab states to form an even larger Palestinian state but that fell through. *******Return to text, this part God is comforting Judah. 3: Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field; *****Shear-jashub means a remnant will return. Isaiah and his son (remnant) were to go and meet the King of Judah at the conduit (conduit also means bandage, as healing) of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s (cleaner of clothes) field. Okay, so I read this as being a prophecy that by Isaiah’s preaching he will lead a remnant in the latter days to meet Christ/king of Judah at the healing place of the source along the way to
Christ’s kingdom (Christ is the fuller as he makes our robes white) (His field is his kingdom) Am I reading too much into it. Maybe, maybe not; but I had to make a note of it here for my future reference. 4: And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah. *******4)… for the fierce anger of the king of Syria, and of the prince of Israel. 5: Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying, ******5) Because nation Syria, nation Ephraim/Israel, and the prince of Israel have taken evil counsel against thee… *******Does the prophecy here speak of the formation of modern Israel and also jump way into the future in the taking up arms against Judah/Jerusalem during the tribulation? 6: Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal: ******* Tabeal was the king of Israel his son would be the prince of Israel or the Remaliah. There were secret negotiations during the formation of modern Israel that we know nothing of and I haven’t been able to find if there was some deal with the Arabs when forming Israel. We do know that antichrist will set himself up in Jerusalem even as much as putting his likeness (perhaps) in the Holy of Holies. Could he be the prince of Israel/Ephraim? 7: Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass. 8: For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people. ******* 65 years Ephraim will be broken and not a people. I have yet to finish the study of this section of the establishment years but wanted to give you what I had so this is rough… When was Ephraim not a people? Anciently we know that they were taken into captivity by Assyria this is what Isaiah was warning of in his time. Some say they were destroyed; Doc’s teaching shows us that in II Esdras 13:36-48a they were not destroyed but disappeared through the head waters of the Euphrates River. (Though many scholars don’t want to label the Apocrypha as inspired scripture they still consider it a good source of history as they do Josephus’ writings.) In Revelation 7 Ephraim and Dan are missing from the list of those sealed though according to Ezekiel 48:31-35 -31 they receive their land grant in the Millennium. Some say that because Ephraim and Dan both sinned with regard to Jeroboam's actions back in the division of the kingdom they are stricken from Rev. 7. Ephraim's sin was the institution of a false system of worship. (Jeroboam was an Ephraimite) Dan's sin was one of "accommodation," as the tribe of Dan allowed the golden calf to reside within its territory. These two tribes have been trouble down through history. Having a background in Doc’s teaching on the tribes we recognize that Ephraim and Dan were not wiped out, just their names are wiped out. Here Ephraim is mentioned in the grouping Joseph’s son’s, but what about Dan.
*****NOTICE--If you notice the list Ephraim and Dan are removed and Joseph and Manasseh are placed there; but Manasseh is usually included in Joseph so what do we make of that? Is Dan somehow included in Manasseh/USA? I’ll drop this for now and back to the main subject. Hey if you’ve got any ideas let me know so I don’t have to work so hard :o)
The date 1948 is taken here only because of it being so prominent in the history of Israel it is the official date of Israel becoming a free nation *****notice-- it may mean nothing but when we add 65 years we come to the middle of the tribulation period 2010-2017 that may or may not have come to light by other studies (see God sets dates, not I at: http://www.esnips.com/web/FiguringtheDates) . This leads to the question is there another reason why, near the mid point of the tribulation week, Ephraim and Dan is singled out? Is it because of the antichrist’s connections to these tribes and his activities? Rev 7:1: And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2: And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3: Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4: And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5: Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6: Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7: Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8: Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. ******* Some say because of their sins, Ephraim lead the northern tribes into idolatry and Dan was also notorious for idolatry and the horrible sin of idolatry (the antichrist will force idolatry of himself). These points seem to verify the tribes’ identity theories, the prophecy of the fig tree to find the timing of the tribulation week, and the multi-layered prophecy of Isaiah, remembering that this prophecy was listed directly in connection with his call to commission. *****here is another item: Solomon sinned and lost the kingdom. (see study paper on 666 and Solomon at http://www.esnips.com/web/Piecesofantichrist ). Solomon had been judged by God for his idolatry and was told that the kingdom would be taken. The northern tribes quickly fell into the same idolatry as which Solomon was judged. Jeroboam made two golden calves and set one in Beth-El, a city of Ephraim, and the other in Dan, the principle city of the tribe of Dan. Jeroboam had reason to create his own system of worship. All the men of Israel were required to appear in Jerusalem for the feasts each year. Because this would cause the reunification of the northern and southern kingdoms, (Jerusalem was in the southern kingdom of Judah) Jeroboam stopped the practice and filled the void of
the true temple worship by creating his own temple, priesthood and system of worship. (I Kings 12: 22-33) The northern kingdom of Israel was never able to repent of their idolatry and consequently were judged by God. Taken captive, Ephraim and its kingdom were eventually scattered throughout the nations having not returned yet. Hosea, who was a prophet to the ten northern tribes, speaks of their sin and future reunification, especially in chapters 11-13.
9: And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
Interesting verse 9 I think. You may go on to read that next the Lord gives the sign of a virgin shall conceive but I will stop here and finish for now. I think that this is an example of why Doc dangled things; because he didn’t have everything in a neat little package. Things come to you in pieces like puzzle pieces and then you need to let them fall into place. Sorry I have to dangle for now. I’ve done so much research on topics lately I need to get back to vegetate with J. Vernon McGee. May God bless us all.
