Annual Meeting of Obstetric and Gynaecology Scottish Trainees The joint West and East of Scotland Trainees’ Committees are pleased to invite you to register for the above event. Date: 4th – 5th December 2009 Venue: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow This is an exciting time of progress and research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and the aim of the meeting is to update trainees in the latest developments within the specialty, from a wide variety of well respected experts from throughout Scotland. It is also an opportunity to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation (which will be judged by an independent scientific committee), and to participate in organised workshops to assist in the completion of your log book. In addition, we are delighted to be hosting the meeting’s social event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow, and to welcome Professor James Drife as our afterdinner speaker.

Registration Fee (includes social event): £150 before 15th October 2009 £175 after 15th October 2009 Lunch, refreshments, all course material and certificates of attendance are included in the fee. Payment by cheque please, made payable to WAGS. We apologise that we cannot accept payment by credit/debit card.



Partners are welcome to attend the social event, tickets may be purchased separately for the price of £50. Number of extra tickets required for social event



Please indicate which workshops you wish to attend by ranking them 1-3 in each session, with 1 indicating your strongest preference. Deadline for abstract submission is 15th October 2009. Abstracts should not be more than one side of A4 (size 10 font), and clearly marked if for oral or poster presentation, or both. Please email abstracts to [email protected]. All successful delegates will be informed by 1st November 2009.



Cancellations before 1st November 2009 will receive a refund of 50% of the registration fee. Cancellations after this time will forfeit the whole registration fee.



We have negotiated a special discounted room rate for those wishing to stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday 4th December, and have provisionally reserved 50 rooms. The cost for Bed & Breakfast is £85 for single occupancy, and £95 for double/twin occupancy. If you wish to book one of these rooms, please telephone the Crowne Plaza on 0141 306 9988, and ask for the Groups Department. This rate is available up until 6th November, and anyone booking thereafter will have to pay the full rate.
