If a student has any questions or concerns regarding their grades, he/she is encouraged to see me after school during extra help sessions which are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:34 to 3:00 or upon appointment. This time is also available to any student seeking assistance and/or clarification. It is easiest to reach me after class hours in room 206 or the faculty lounge on the second floor. If you would like to see me, it is your responsibility to find me. A simple peek in the window of room 206 is not sufficient enough to say, “Well, I looked in your room and you weren’t there, so I left…” Please make any and all attempts find me; it is in all our best interests if we fully understand each other and the coursework. If I cannot be reached immediately, you can email me at [email protected] if there is any work that needs to be handed in or for any questions that you may have. You may also leave late or make-up work or a note in my mailbox in the front office. If a parent/guardian wishes to contact me, please have them call the main office where they can leave a message and a contact phone number, and I will do my best to return the call as soon as I possibly can. Makeup Work Policy: Students are responsible for all the work they miss when they are absent. It is the student’s responsibility to discuss any coursework missed as soon as they return to class. The teacher and student will agree upon a date when their work is to be completed and turned in. If an assignment is assigned the day they are absent, they may have up to one week to hand in the

work that was due. If an assignment was assigned before the student was absent, the work is still due on the due date originally assigned. If the student is absent on the date that the assignment is due, the work is due the following day, unless notified by the teacher. Students excused for school-sponsored activities or any other excusal will be expected to hand in all work due the following day and are responsible for all work that they have missed. No extra time will be assigned. Late Work Policy: All work that is not handed in the day it was due will go down an entire letter grade for each additional day it is late. If the work is not handed in after 3 days past the deadline, no credit will be given. Extra Credit: Extra credit opportunities may arise at various times throughout the course. This privilege is granted at the teacher’s discretion. Extra credit is not mandatory and will not be given out liberally. Students who regularly complete assignments and participate frequently are eligible for possible extra credit opportunities. Students who do not comply will not be eligible for extra credit. Rules for the Classroom: • Students are expected to show respect at all times to themselves, their classmates, and their teachers and faculty staff. • Do not be late. Students are expected to be in their seats with their materials on their desk and working on a “Do Now” assignment or project at the start of every class when the bell rings. • Be prepared. Students are expected to have completed all their assignments and bring all their materials to class with them every time the class meets. • The teacher will dismiss the class. Students are not to prepare to pack up and exit the class unless notified by the teacher. If you are going to be late, just ask the teacher for a late slip. • The hall pass can only be used for what it is intended for. If a student asks for a pass to use the restroom or to visit the nurse, or any other reason, then they can only be used for that reason. Students must sign-in and sign-out when using the hall pass with the times listed on them. Supplies: Students are expected to have the following materials: -Binder with loose-leaf paper -Folder -Pen or Pencil (highlighter may be helpful) -All textbooks, materials, and handouts assigned to them for the course. *If there are any issues as to why these items are not obtainable, please see the teacher at the beginning of the course.
