Objectives 1. Students will be able to complete two online exercises to demonstrate their understanding of the differences between affect and effect. 2. Students will be able to create a blog entry to demonstrate their mastery and understanding of the terms by defining and applying the information.

In this example, staying up is the cause of the problem.

In this example falling asleep at your desk is the result of an action.

Effect Hillary effected a change in procedure. Hillary brought about a change in procedure.
