Advanced English Composition Syllabus Grade Scale: 90%-100% gets an A 80%-89% gets a B 70%-79% gets a C 60%-69% gets a D 0%-59% gets an F *In the event of classes exceeding 30 people a standard bell curve will be used. Grade Breakdown: Out of a total of 100% grades will be weighted as follows: 5% Attendance 10% Assignments 15% Participation 30% Mid-Term Exam 40% Final Exam Books: Introduction to Academic Writing Level 3 (3rd Edition) Class Schedule: • • • •

Weeks 1-8: ○ Units 1-5 will be completed with two review classes Mid-Term Exam (Term Paper First Draft 3-6 pages, double-spaced) Weeks 9-16 ○ Units 6-10 will be completed with two review classes Final Exam (Term Paper Final Draft 3-6 pages, double-spaced)
