ITEC 7410: Action/Evaluation Plan Name: Brittnay Schuster

Semester: Spring 2019

Goal: Skilled Teachers [By May of 2020 teachers will all be able to implement instructional technology at (minimum) level two of the rubric provided in Appendix A]

Evaluation Method:  Formal Evaluations  Informal Evaluations  Peer Observations  Personal Reflection Strategies

Success Indicator: 100% of teachers will meet the minimum requirements of eCLASS use according to the “developing” category of the rubric/checklist included in Appendix A Timeline

Teachers will attend a mandatory strategies training

This will occur on the first Tuesday of every month. The strategy showcase will take place during the first 10 minutes of the first Tuesday of the month Teachers will see a Teachers will spend strategy in action (first 40 minutes of each part of the training first Tuesday mentioned above) then collaborating with teachers will collaborate their colleagues and have time to work to build a lesson using the showcased strategy they learned on that day

For each of the strategies implemented in this section, there is no cost associated with the actual learning. However, the school will pay $91 for a sub for me to be able to lead these strategy and development sessions throughout the year. This money will come directly from the “general fund.”

The MVHS counseling department will work with COX to provide parents with information (and time to register) for their Connect2Compete program which provides low cost internet and devices to families who qualify under the low SES requirements

This will be an ongoing partnership between MVHS, Cox, parents, and students. There will be one thirty minute breakout session during registration where parents can come to participate in the registration process



Department chairs will collaborate to create a rotation schedule in which teachers agree to stay after school to “sponsor” students who need access to school computers MVHS will issue an informal survey to collect data about student access to technology

Department Chairs will meet during the week of pre-planning to establish this schedule. One-on-one facilitation from the LSTC with teachers who request assistance

Resource repository provided to all teachers with screencasts and hyperdocs with “howto” guides for all elements of eCLASS use

This will be ongoing throughout the year. Sessions will last anywhere between 1050 minutes depending on the needs of the teacher. Teachers will have access to this during the entire school year. I will spend approximately 50 hours assembling and creating the resources

Administrators will identify teachers in need during informal observations and will encourage that teacher to schedule a coaching session with me, our LSTC, or our eCLASS representative from the county

Observations will be conducted throughout the school year. Administrators will spend approximately 10 minutes during each informal observation to assess each teacher’s needs and abilities
