This section contains foreignauthored books in different subject areas. Customers may borrow the book for overnight use only (from 5:00 PM and return this at 10:00 AM of the following day). Fill-up the research form and indicate the call number, title, and author of the book for easy access of the material.

Filipiniana contains a collection of Filipino authored books or other materials whose topics are about the Philippines whether (foreign or local authors). It has also some of the Rizaliana collections that provide indepth information on the life of Dr. Jose Rizal.

RE FEREN CE SE CTI ON •This section consists of materials that guide students in their researches. Reference books such as: Encyclopedias, Yearbooks, Dictionaries, Gazetteer, Thesaurus, Almanac, Atlas, Handbooks, Indexes, and Bibliographies •Reference materials can be utilized freely by the customers but their uses are limited within the walls of the library. Piece of papers and a pen only shall be allowed in this section for notes taking.

PERIODICAL SECTION This area collects government publications (published by government agencies such as NSO, UNESCO Philippines, PAGCOR, BIR, etc.) journals, magazines (foreign and local), and newspaper clippings.

INTERNET SECTION
Students have free access with the
Internet facilities to supplement their information needs and other researches.
It is open from 10:00AM - 12:00PM;
1:00PM - 5:00 PM. First come first serve basis for one-hour use per student. The student must present his/her library card and required to log in.
Internet is for academic research only.
Typing/encoding, online gaming and online chats are not allowed.
Use of removable devices such as Floppy disk, CDs and USB are strictly prohibited.
MEDIA SECTION It has a collection of
educational videotapes, slides, CDROMs, and diskettes. A Faculty member can use the AV equipment like the overhead/opaque projector and television upon request from the Media Librarian.
ARCHIVES AND MUSEUM MUSEUM It consists of museum materials donated by Japanese friends and other institutions. Japanese collections

Librarian gives reference service by answering questions or directing the customers to the information they need. He/she facilitates the storage and retrieval of information for easy access.

VIEWING SERVICE The University Library has viewing room in all colleges. But the borrowing of audiovisual and electronic resources is centralized . Faculty member and students could request for viewing of educational film.

provides photocopying services to students, faculty and administrative employees. It is located at the 2nd floor of ITC Building (in front of the Main Library). There are also photocopying at the Main Academic Building and Old Building.

the current innovation in the library. The academic community is being informed or educated on information technology, science or any topic that will benefit them. The information is posted in the Bulletin Board and is published in Information Literacy Journal
USER EDU CATI ON The
University Library conducts library orientation. The librarians give also individual instruction as they see the need to deliver one to a student who needs it. Instruction may cover the use of the card catalog, indexes, and databases until a customer is able to do an independent research. Brochures about these matters are also disseminated to students. refers to giving of library services to the customers in terms of loaning of books and other library materials as well as personal assistance in looking for information
GUID EL INES IN B OOK LOAN S Borrowers shall be held accountable for all books
borrowed. Present the current validated LC together with the filled up research form of the book to be borrowed and sign the book card. Return the book at the counter on or before the due date. For home use books (circulation materials), borrowings start at 5:00 p.m. and must be returned not later than 10:00 a.m. of the following school day. Validated library card and current registration must be presented and attached at the book card signed by the borrower. Borrowers are subject to pay fines amounting to twenty pesos (Php 20.00) per day (including Saturdays & Sundays) at the Cashier for overdue books.

and Returning of Books (Faculty/Employees/Graduate students)
1. The same procedure in borrowing and returning of
books is applied for faculty members or employees and graduate students of the institution.
2. The graduate student is required to present
his/her library card in borrowing book/s. Part time Faculty are allowed book for room use only. However, he/she can photocopy specific pages of the book.

The purpose of cataloging is
to put order into collection of books so that the volumes may be located and used for reference and circulation. The purpose of classification is to facilitate the discovery of knowledge in literature by grouping together the books according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC) Tools in organization of materials : Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC), Cutter’s Author Table and Anglo-American Cataloging Rules.

system, which divides human knowledge into ten main classes with further decimal division using a notation of numbers. It is called decimal system because knowledge is divided and subdivided in group of tens.

Sears List of Subject Headings It is a printed list of subject headings for the minds representing various types of libraries. By using the list as a base for establishing subject headings, the cataloger has a standard on which to rely. Consistency on both level of specificity and accepted list where the choice among possible wordings has been made and received is on the list. By following the patterns of headings printed in the list, the cataloger will also have to add new headings that will be compatible with the tool.

Anglo – American Cataloging Rules These
are rules designed for use in the construction of catalogues and other lists in general libraries of all sizes. The rules cover the description of and the provision of access points for all library materials commonly collected at the present time.

The perceptions of 200 students on the instructional skills of PE teachers were studied using a researcher-made questionnaire which consists of 10-item-5-point Likert scale. Findings showed that the students' perceptions have "oftentimes" interpretation. This means that the instructional skills like "analyzes and identifies specific learning tasks; identifies needs, interests and capacities of individual students, and provides adequately for them; motivates the lesson [sic]; asks questions effectively to develop critical thinking and creativity, etc. are done repeatedly or frequently implications of he findings.
