Enrollment system is one of the important and evident, not only in a university, but also in lower levels of education. An accurate and efficient enrollment records helps to ensure a good impression of the institution on possible enrollee is encouraging them to matriculate in the institution. The purpose of an enrollment process is to provide a means for staffs and the faculty to write down data that are essential to enrollment. As the enrollees increase every year, the enrollment procedures become harder to deal.

An enrollment system is not a new concept. As enrollees increase every year, enrollment procedures become harder to deal. This will only serve to increase the problem-facing enrollment that provides more easy way in enrolling. It will help their

institution to have another system upgrade

enrollment processes as to meet the quality that their institutions are trying to meet. Technology has been a part of our daily lives. Billions of people are using computer and we need to be aware of all things around us to respond properly. Today, the use of technology has been an effective tool on improving such of kind enrollment system. With this in mind, the ACLC College School opens its doors for the researchers to conduct their study in the field of Information Technology. The ACLC College offers a high quality of education to its students not only on intellectual aspects, but also spiritually. The ACLC Senior High School seeks for further advancement in their school system where technology can help them be more efficient.

Project Context Nowadays, The system design project, automated enrollment system that will provide the needed and storing information in a faster, more convenient way by storing file of the student enrollees in a computer system that will lessen the effort of faculty staff in storing files of each student every now and then. This will also serve as information especially for the irregular

students, freshmen, transferee, and professor/instructor in able to get access in course, subject, professor, and student enrollees. This information here can be view in just a second without worrying that a single file is lost. The idea behind an automated enrollment system is not a new concept. As student enrollees increase every year, enrollment procedure become harder to deal. This will only serve to increase the problem-facing enrollment that provides more easy way in enrolling.

Purpose and Description This research is to help school manage various operations including data, administrative and fundraising operations. Student may inquire on matters related to admission and enrollment requirements. These systems help to assists the students in their educational need such as the course or subject

reference.

Enrollment system that will support the student enrollment, admission and registration process. It includes the maintenance of student personal, academic and related fees. Database maintained by this system Usually, contains the student’s personal, academic and its fee related information. It focuses on storing and processing (insertion, updating) by using graphical user interface. It generates student information in formatted tables, fees invoice, subjects enrolled, student’s academic detail report, student’s personal detail report, student’s fee deposition status report,

student’s all student’s currently deposited their fees and it stores merit list provided by College. Automate manual paper work done at the time of student’s enrollment. Eliminate paper work and efficiently manage the student academic, personal, fees and details.

Objective Our system is a (Enrollment System) this study is to design and develop an Enrollment System in order to lessen the workload of the cashier personnel and to make the enrollment procedure faster. 1. To design and develop an Enrollment system that will replace the manual process. 2. To generate reports faster and more accurate. 3. To prevent or minimize the loss of records

Scope and Limitation The study entitled “ACLC SHS Enrollment System” will help in the enrollment system of the ACLC College of Tacloban City. This study shall be concern with the enroll student to be record in the registrar office using the system. It has the functionally of enrollment making form.

It has an ability to save, record, and edit those data and important information about the student, teachers and school. The study covers the computerization of the activities, the enrollment system including student

registration class list, principal’s report of total enrollment of students and receipt.

CHAPTER 2 REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

This chapter presents the literature and studies relevant to present investigation. Related Study Local Studies

Base on the research, according to Lopez (2005), a registration system helps and provides efficient and reliable services to the students, enrollment personnel and administration. Moreover, this system improved the process of enrollment in terms of searching, retrieving and subject schedules. While in a study conducted by Cayabyab (2007), many problems and difficulties were identify in the existing system of Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS). These major concerns are affecting the efficient enrollment system of students. Security of the student’s records were found to be at high risk. The current system may fail to protect some important documents. It has also untimely and inefficient report generation. The Academic Information Management System or AIMS has enhanced the enrollment system and academic record, keeping of the University of Negros Occidental Recoletos in Bacolod City. The school for easy access of students to the school and school academic records acquired AIMS, software of Pinnacle Asia. It has systematized and consolidated the

inputs of the college registrar with the accounting office. Bro. Jaazeal D. Jakosalem, OAR, University Property Administrator said that AIMS has made records of both offices analogous with each other. We were able to solve ― the loopholes in the past where millions of pesos cannot be counted because their inputs cannot be record, Jakosalem explained. AIMS have greatly improved the school’s information technology infrastructure. UNO-R students and their parents can view the academic records on-line while enrollment procedures as been reduced to only 30 minutes or so with corresponding accounts due within 5 days. School notices and announcements may be read on-line. Faculty members may encode grades and post course/lecture materials on-line. The school alumni here and abroad may request for their transcript of records and receive the same on line. Jakosalem also announced that UNO-R campus is now a WIFI zone. Foreign and graduate students may access the web at all times using their laptops. This study is related to the proposed system because of the web-based enrolment. The registrar and the students can also view their academic records using the internet. But, the difference is that in this study it is not mention that the students can pay their tuitions on-line. The enrollment system of the university is now computerized, and other systems are on its way. This only show that they are coping with the latest technology. The Automated Enrollment System of Samar State University aims for an accurate, user friendly, efficient system that can help both the student and personnel for fast data processing of enrollment. Engr. Hediki Hashimoto, a Japanese volunteer headed the creation and conceptualization of the system. The information technology faculty from the College of Engineering and Arts and Sciences assisted him. Edith Cowan University (ECU) is currently enrolling more than 5, 000 new students, which has been made easier with its Oracle-based online enrollment system. This has allowed ECU to substantially re-design its business processes. The system as known as the Edith Cowan University Web Enrolment System (ECUWES), and replaces traditional hard copy enrolment. According to the coordinator of Admission Support, Kerian Greenaway, the system offers immediacy and convenience of course enrolment via the Internet. The technology in use was set up by Oracle in 1998, when ECU moved towards creating an innovative web-based enrolment and

Oracledatabase products. New enrolments using ECUWES are managed diff erently to re-enrolment on ECUWES. New enrolments are processed while the student is with an enrolment assistant, because there is a need to collect HECSenrolment papers, as well as to familiarize students with the system. In t erms of re-enrolment, the student has full control of enrolling in a six-week period, which allows for any small glitches in the system, such as not being able to get online. ECU also previously faced difficulties with managing student enrolment administration, as staffs were distributed across several locations, so there was a desire for improved access and management of student information. There have been no major problems, apart from a few power failures, but ECU has backup plans, such as enrollment assistants taking up all the paperwork and processing the information once back online. In Veritas Parochial School Pascual, a web-based enrollment system developed to help both the old and new students, to enroll in a more efficient way without the hassles of waiting long hours just to fill up forms, which sometimes become redundant, or to stand in line and pay at the cashier. After that the student will be given confirmation that the transaction has been verified and all that the student has to do is visit the school and pay appropriate amount for the current school year. Valina et.al (2009), in this work entitled “Network-based student Permanent Record keeping and Enrollment System of Balian National High School”. This System was made to lessen the time and effort exerted by both student and school employees. It is also made to give accurate reports and keep records of every student’s every students and for easy and fast way of enrollment. Soria (2006), constructed a system entitled “Network-based Computerized Inventory System for the supply office of the LSPC main campus. With the advancement of technology, devices and machines were improving, developed and inverted to cope up with the need of new world. There are different systems designed for reliable, efficient and very useful to the user. Cabang et al. Different interrelated processes build up enrollment procedures called Enrollment System (ES). ES are use particularly in recording and retrieving student information. Technicality of the Project The software of this system is MySQL and sublime, the hardware needed for this system is a computer or pc, the network is also pc computer. And they, the students must have knowledge how to use a pc and internet in order to use this system, and this system is free for all.

Details of the technology to be used The project uses technology like PC computer for learning purposes or/to learn. Thus we need data, wifi or internet.

Chapter V Conclusion and Recommendation

Conclusion After all the studies, research and observation, the proponents therefore conclude that the ACLC College, is having difficulties on their enrollment system particularly on management of students data. Different problems such as redundancy and errors in information of the students, not updated reports submitted to directress and time consuming enrollment activities was solved through designing automated enrollment system. On the other hand, proponents accept the life of being a system analyst. They adopt the stages in making study using interviews, researches, surveys and even observations. They are also train to use data flow diagram, flow chart and other graphical method of study in presenting the flow of the system proposed. Above all, proponents would be a beneficiary of this study since they analyze a manual enrollment system and convert it into an automated one.
