THE FUTURE OF COMPUTER PROGRAMMING

Abstract The future of computer programming is one that is expected to be on the rise. The amount of job openings related to computer programming is expected to grow substantially. This is due to the high demand for computer programmers in the job market. Demand is rising for computer programmers because all businesses need them in order to function. The high demand will also lead to higher pay for computer programmers. Also, not all schools offer computer programming, which has led to a shortage of computer programmers in the job market and increased pay. Having a job in computer programming also contributes to developing skills in computer programmer’s lives. These skills include: logic, persistence, and problem solving. All of these skills are applicable to everyday life for computer programmers. These findings are significant because they show that computer science is a growing field and young people should take advantage of this opportunity to join the field when they enter the workforce.
