A sit down with Check By: Arman "ArmanSLR" Mamnoon Posted 2009-04-12 14:39:53 CDT

Can you please introduce yourself to the community? Hi I’m check from nGize.FSP, I am a nightelf user.

Since joining nGize, do you think that playing with LucifroN has made you a better player in the NE vs. ORC match up? No. Because we don’t just play with one player, and if we want practice we need a US host.

Do you think there are any teams that nGize should be afraid of in the WC3L? World elite: sky, infi, ted are very strong players.

In an interview with Lyn he said, “In the first two games, Check played the best class of Night elf. If a Night elf player is at the top of his game, there is no way an Orc player can win I suppose.” What has made you so strong and consistent lately? I lost too much vs orc on Bnet and matches so I needed to practice the matchup, and I played a different style than before.

How did you feel after winning the Avalon Warcraft 3 Masters? Did you feel confident coming into the tournament and were you surprised by how well you played? I was happy because NWL and Gleague 2nd place..and for the longest time I hadn’t gotten 1st place I didn’t practice kotg first hero, but I felt very good “if using kotg I can win” so 5 minutes before the match I decided to use that strategy.

Right now on your current form, do you feel you are the best player in Korea/the world or are there others? Korea – lyn world – sky

What do you think about the recent comments made from Soju and Soccer about teams not paying their players and keeping their promises? Has this ever happened to you? Mtw hasn’t paid 2 month’s salary, same with foV and Winners ^^

Are you playing in the Season 6 pro ladder? What do you think about it? Do you think it’s a good place to practice? Very good practice, China and Korea’ best players focus on this ladder.

What do you think about Moon’s salary with WeMade Fox? Do you think any player is worth that much money? Do you think this is good or bad for e-sports in general? I don’t know about this but if wemadefox needs him and can give so much salary…. but other players don’t get salary now, so sad about this -.-

Are you going to participate in the Korean Championships to qualify for the ESWC Asia Masters? Who do you think will be your hardest opponent in the qualifiers? I will play in it. hm.. I don’t like elf vs elf so Korean elf user are my hardest opponents.

What do you think about the current state of WC3? Players were being dropped left and right and the free agent market is huge. Do you think the game is slowly coming to an end or is this just a phase that will change? I don’t know much about this really but I will still play wc3 before I play sc2.

Do you think WC3 is balanced right now? How do you feel about the maps that blizzard released with the patch, do you think they should be implemented in leagues? Are there any maps that you wish were brought back to the map pool? Balance and map is good now, but I want some changes to Human towers, either raise the DP or HP.

What do you think about the Blademaster and Demon Hunter comparison? Which hero is better? Do you think either of them are imbalanced? I don’t know.. I think the same :) Both are imbalanced if a good player uses each hero.

What is your favorite tournament to attend? Why? Blizzcon because there is so much prize money and Blizzard supports its players.

What is the most memorable thing that you have done while being a professional gamer? Dayfly, my good friend and team mate living same house and practicing so much with him and we would win the 2on2 leagues together.

Do you like the new WC3L format and do you think it balances out teams more evenly considering a team of two star players can do fine against a team that has three or four stars on their team? I think the previous format was better..Now we only get 9 matches, and the times we play are so late for Koreans.

What do you think about the NGL switching its league entirely from a team league to a solo league? Do you think this was a good decision by them? Good decision now the prize money isn’t spread up between 4-5 players, now players can get salary.

What is your daily routine? How many hours a day do you practice? Who do you practice with? Does your routine change before a tournament? Sometimes I go to the gym and everyday focus on practicing Wc3, if don’t practice I watch movies and drama shows.

Do you play any sports or have any hobbies outside of Warcraft? What do your friends and family think about your career? I didn’t play sports, and I don’t know how they think about me :D

What influenced you to want to become a professional Warcraft 3 player? Hard question…I just like the game and like playing with other people.

How do you think the release of Starcraft 2 will affect Warcraft 3? Do you think some professionals will make the switch? Will we see you playing Starcraft 2 at a professional level? Hard question, maybe I’m not sure yet.

Would you like to make any shout outs or say anything to your fans? Thanks to my fans cheering for me, I will practice hard and try and win my next matches!
