The ninth annual Walkerthon, named for former Yantacaw Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Schools John Walker and presented by the John Walker Foundation, starts at the Yantacaw School and loops through Memorial and Yanticaw parks, ending back at the school. Fourth graders from Tracy McCormick’s class carry a banner for DoSomething.org, a national organization that connects students with community service projects.
