A PLEDGE FOR THE NATION

We can easily get yield from a cultivated land with a little hard work, but is it the same case with a baron and unploughed land? Definetly no. We have to put a great effort to do that. India which is well known for its rich cultural and natural heritage is on the rapid path of development. Looking back in to the Indian history, Hindustan as it was called was ruled over by the British Empire and many western companies for about 250 long years. During this period they fully harnessed our land and extracted sufficient amount of wealth which they further used to develop their own countries which led to the early rise of industrial revolution in gulf countries. Apart from this many of the invasors and infiltrators plundered and looted immense wealth. This was just an nano view of our history. Because of the great revolutionary movements and top sacrifices by our freedom fighters for over 90 years we finally became independent to have our own democracy. At the time of independence we were just left with poverty, illetracy, dangerous epidemic diseases, unemployment, little communal riots and many more problems. The state of India at this moment was just like a baron land. Even though, after 62 years of independence today we have developed to a great extent in every field only because of the great personalities who dedicated their life for their nation. But even today we are facing a lot of problems like corruption, increase in communal riots, illeteracy, huge brain drain, child labour, unemployment, terrorism and many more serious issues which are strongly retarding development of our country. The rise many of the above issues is only because of us. For country like India which is in need of youth power and its large coordination it is very important to preserve its youth power. Future of this country is in the hands of youths. We all see that there is immense corruption in every area. A large number of students studying in many of the national institutes and professional colleges just study to settle their own life, they have plans to go abroad and make their life luxury. There is some kind of selfishness behind this. That is “ALLFOR ME”. Many of these prefer multinational companies so that they can have huge pay scales and settle their own family leaving behind their own country with lot of burning problems. Friends’, being the future of this country it is nobody but we who have to take responsibility in the coming days and remove all our shortcomings. A pot cannot be shaped with dried mud it is only the wet mud which works for it, similarly it is we the wet

minded students who have to shape the nation. I think it is quite impossible to change the mindset of some of the present elders, politicians, bureaucrats doing corruption and many others who indulge in illegal things. These things are not in our hands to punish them, or to lecture them to improve. But at least the future is in our hand. There are hardly few youths who think about their nation put effort for the upliftment of it. As a student we will say that we will never practice corruption, but in future situations and more than it is money which makes us corrupt. Till now the same things have happened. We have to make a strong commitment to avoid this. It is not important that one has to join army, navy, police to serve his nation, but he can serve his motherland through any profession only if he has a little patriotic feeling for his country. We have to at least remember the sacrifices given by our ancestors respect them and work for the country so that their sacrifices should not go in vain. Friend’s time has come for we youths to take a pledge to do something for our nation and take it to the greater heights. This can be achieved only if we coordinate, help each other, march on the path of truth,determination,work hard ,have unity, and last but not least if we stop draining of the smart brains from our country. Now the future of our country is in our hand we can change it as we want and make it to the top of least as a happy and prosperous country. So friends it is the time not to waste, get prepared yourself such that in the coming days we can strongly fight and work for our motherland. Friends let us take an pledge that each one of us will do something for our nation and make the future of this country bright with no corruption,communalism,illeteracy,poverty.unemploymentor brain drain left, thus making it once again “THE GOLDEN BIRD” as it was earlier called and make the dream of “SUPER POWER INDIA” come true.
