us subtract II equation from I. 4a gets cancelled. We get 9B = -4 or b = -4/9  Let us put this value in I equation, we get: 4a – 28/9 =17 or 4a =17+28/9  4a = 181/9  A = 181/9 *1/4  =181/36 answer. www.afterschoool.tk

Solving II equation, we get: (4a+21)/12 =b; 4a+21 =12b or 4a-12b=-21 Subtracting it from I equation, we get: 19B =38 or B = 2. Putting the value of B in first equation we get: 4a+14 =17, A =3/4 answer.

If the sum of the roots of the quadratic equation ax^2+bx+c =0 is equal to the sum of the squares of their reciprocals then b^2 /ac +bc /a^2 is equal to ?  Let

us assume values of X & Y = 1 each  X+Y = X^2+y^2 /XY.  Let us solve it by this :  B = 1+1, so B^2 = 4. C = 1 and A = 1.  Thus 4/1+2*1/1 = 6 www.afterschoool.tk

A factory produces 300 & 900 units a costs of 6800 & 10400 respectively. What is its cost line ?  We

can see that difference in production: 600 and difference in cost is 3600  Thus 3600/600 = 6 is variable cost.  Putting this value for 300 units we get:  6*300 = 1800. Thus 6800 – 1800 = 5000 is fixed cost.  Thus equation is : 6x+5000 = Y (answer)  Y = cost and X = no. of units made. www.afterschoool.tk

In the previous question, if selling price is Rs. 10, what will be breakeven point? 

Break even point is at the place where no profit no loss is there. BEP = Fixed cost / contribution per unit Contribution = selling price – variable cost Rs. 10 – Rs. 6 = 4. Let us divide 5000 by 4 = 1250 Thus break even point will be at 1250 units.

basic line equation is :  4x+7y+k = 0  X = 8 and Y = 9  4*8 + 7*9 +k = 0  K = -95  Thus the line is : 4x+7y-95 = 0 answer.

We make 80 laptops at a cost of 220000 and 125 laptops at 287500. what wil be our cost for 95 laptops?      

Difference is 45 laptops and cost = 67500 Thus variable cost is :67500/45= 1500 Fixed cost = total cost – total variable cost Fixed cost is :220000- 80*1500 = 100000 Thus equation is 1500x + 100000 =y (1500*95)+100000 =242500 answer.
