• Last time the monkey will not retreat so 97-4 = 93. • For all other occasion, the monkey will retreat, so it will climb 4-1 = 3 meters in 2 minutes. 93/3=31 = 62 minutes + the last minute for final climb. • The answer is : 63 minutes.

Train is moving @ 30 km p/h. A person running @ 9km per hour takes 20 minutes to go from one corner to another corner of platform. How much time will train take in this, if train is 300 meters long?

• Step 1: find length of platform = 20/60*9000 = 3000 meters. • Train’s length = 300. total distance to be covered by train: 3000+300 • 3300/30000*60 = 6.6 minutes ans.

What is the area & diagonal of a rectangle, which is made of two squares each of area 400 sq. cm?

• Area = 400 + 400 = 800 • Or one side of square is 20 • One side of rectangle is 20 and other side is 40, multiplying this we get 800 ans. • Diagonal: square root of 400+1600 = 44.72 ans. www.afterschoool.tk
