What is HCF and LCM of 12,18 and 1/12,1/18 and .12 and .18? • 12 & 18 have factors: 2,2,3 & 2,3,3 respectively, HCF is 2*3 = 6, LCM is 2*2*3*3 = 36 • For fractions, - for HCF – take HCF of numerators and take LCM for denominators & vice versa: so HCF : 1/36; LCM = 1/6 • For .12 and .18, multiply these by 100 and calculate their HCF and LCM and then again divide by 100. thus you get .06 as HCF and .36 as LCM.
