REPLACEMENT HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of the removal. But the installation is indicated only when it has a point. 1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (a) Remove the 4 screws. (b) Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 clips and engine under cover. 2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (a) Remove the 3 screws. (b) Using a screwdriver, remove the 3 clips and engine under cover. 3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (a) Remove the screw and a part of the front fender liner LH. HINT: Remove the screw and the front fender liner LH within the range that the front bumper cover can be removed. 4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Remove the 2 screws and 2 bolts. Using a clip remover, remove the clip. Disengage the hooks and remove the front bumper cover. Disconnect the fog lamp connectors (on the fog lamp option only).

(c) Using a heat light, heat the spoiler 40 – 60C (104 – 140F). NOTICE: Do not heat the spoiler excessively.

Clean the rear spoiler (if reusing the spoiler). (1) Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler to 40 – 60C (104 – 140F). NOTICE: Do not heat the spoiler excessively. (2) Remove the adhesive tape from the rear spoiler. (3) Wipe off the stains with cleaner.

Install new adhesive tape to the rear spoiler as shown in the illustration. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

REPLACEMENT HINT:

REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CENTER LH (a) Tape the circumference of the moulding for protection. (b) Using a remover for the roof moulding, release the engagements of the clips both in the front and rear ends of the moulding, and then remove the roof drip side finish Protective moulding. Tape NOTICE: Do not remove the clips. B56185 If the clips are damaged or removed accidentally, exchange them for supplied ones. 2. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CLIP NO.1 NOTICE: Only when exchanging the clips. (a) Remove the adhesive tape that remains on the mounting surface of the body, and then clean the surface with white gasoline. (b) Heat up the clip installation surfaces of the body with a heat light. Body: 40 – 60C (104 – 140F) Moulding: 20 – 30C (68 – 86F) NOTICE: Do not heat the moulding excessively. (c) Set the supplied clips into the positions as shown in the illustration, and press–fit those clips by hand to install them. (d) Install the moulding when 30 minutes or more have passed after press–fitting the clips. HINT: Initial hardening time: 30 minutes Perfect hardening time: 24 hours Clip

REMOVE OUT SIDE MOULDING (a) Using a heat light, heat the body moulding to 40 – 60C (104 – 140F). NOTICE: Protective Tape Do not heat the moulding excessively. (b) Tie both piano wire ends to wooden block or similar object. (c) Scrape the adhesive tape off by pulling the piano wire as shown in the illustration. B56187 NOTICE: If reusing the moulding, take care not to damage the moulding. Do not damage the body. 2. INSTALL OUT SIDE MOULDING (a) Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40 – 60C (104 – 140F). NOTICE: Do not heat the body excessively. (b) Remove the protective tape from the body. (c) Wipe off the stains with cleaner. (d) Clean the moulding (if reusing the moulding). (1) Using a heat light, heat the body moulding to 20 – 30C (68 – 86F). NOTICE: Do not heat the body excessively. (2) Remove the adhesive tape from the moulding. (3) Wipe off the stains with cleaner. (4) Apply new adhesive tape to the moulding as shown in the illustration.

REMOVE FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST Holding the floor mat, disengage the clips from the upper with a screwdriver to remove the front floor footrest.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. NOTICE: Warm the inside of the vehicle well before removal. (b) Disengage the foot rest clips, and then remove the 2 clips from the front floor footrest.

INSTALL FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST Install the footrest clips by engaging the claws with the front floor footrest. Before installation, check that the part to be engaged with the clips of front floor footrest is not damaged. NOTICE: If it is damaged, replace it with a new one.

(b) Using a remover for the roof moulding, release the engagements of the clips both in the front and rear ends of the moulding, and then remove the roof drip side finish Protective moulding. Tape NOTICE: Do not remove the clips. B56185 If the clips are damaged or removed accidentally, exchange them for supplied ones. 2. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CLIP NO.1 NOTICE: Only when exchanging the clips. (a) Remove the adhesive tape that remains on the mounting surface of the body, and then clean the surface with white gasoline. (b) Heat up the clip installation surfaces of the body with a heat light. Body: 40 – 60C (104 – 140F) Moulding: 20 – 30C (68 – 86F) NOTICE: Do not heat the moulding excessively. (c) Set the supplied clips into the positions as shown in the illustration, and press–fit those clips by hand to install them. (d) Protect the curtain shield airbag. NOTICE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protection cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed. (1) Cover the airbag with cloth or nylon of 700 mm (27.56 in.) × 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the ends of the cover with tape, as shown in the illustration.
