71 Blurred, Value More,r

June 9, 2004 Dear Editor in Chief, I hope any curious mind of any moderate/balanced religion/group should not go beyond the limits of “the teachings of love and love of your enemies”; or touch too much on controversial things or blurred things or mysterious things or not clear things because it might trigger extreme that could perhaps lead to terrorism; rather the curious mind should touch on simple, clear, plain, and practical things first. If small things are not reconsidered such as leaks, small cheating, small disorder, small corruption like perjury and malice in talking, other small public evils, the curious mind could be programmed to be insensitive to fixing small chaos at the start. And wrong things at the start and then tolerated in the long time then justified true sometime in the past and confirmed true again by another generation could be a habit or culture like riding in a sinking boat with so much leaks in submerge areas that no body cares; perhaps because the leaks are seen as “blurred.” Sometimes when not clear things are debated; or blurred things are discussed; or if an opinion is laid about blurred things perhaps arguments, conflicts, hating, and quarrels are created. If an explanation about the cause of an extreme is written as an opinion, sometimes those curious mind that entertain “proud claim”, “proud tradition” based from precepts of men would do more hating if conceit is ruling the mind. But sometimes the curious mind feels sorry if humbleness is ruling the mind. The curious mind would try to evaluate the opinion and accept things that could still be changed if the explanation is clear with specific suggested solutions. But if the explanation were blurred, the curious mind would perhaps entertain hating. Perhaps blending with other group/s or adopting what is simple, nice, and practical of other group/s and incorporate it/them to its own identity or uniqueness could be criticized as being prostituted, corrupted. Perhaps there is certain degree of extremism in any blending or mixing that could result to chaos; and hating, and economic collapse; or disorderliness, or not beautiful to look at, especially if what becomes the domineering trait is the bad trait, the negative aspect. Perhaps bad trait means the showing of entertaining tradition of men not base from the universal Word but perhaps based from “voice”, “vision”, “dream” which sways away the focus to the universal Word. The manifestation or showing could be implemented thru small things first such as in orderliness, peace and harmony. Or better not touch on blurred, not clear things or controversial things rather touch first on clear things. Words: 1 Corinthians 14:33: quote: because God does not want us to be disorder but in harmony and peace. Example on specifics: a 300 years old tradition of procession an idol icon about weighing 200 kilos which started from just 8- men carrying the idol icon from points “a” to “b”-balanced- but if there is just 3 carrying the ‘icon carriage’ designed to be carried by at least 8 men, it would tilt because it is lacking. Then as years passed-by the 8 had became12; then there was some rotation; then the grabbing of the ‘carrying arm’ from others to carry also the icon has come. And now, too many people wants to carry too the icon perhaps a hundred or thousands calling the carrying a “blessing, healing, forgiving, sacrificing, penitence, and other “beliefs” that sometimes resulted to drunkenness, stampede, bullying, killing; or any accidents; and projecting to the curious mind of new young generation that it is all right to drink first to avoid smelling bad odors of others and to be tough also in penetrating to touch the idol icon on compressed people or crowded people. Perhaps there are many small extremes that could be balanced in this example of tradition of men. If the A.I. would analyze and compare the design of the carrying of the idol icon on specifics like: there is less carrying men than what it is designed it would say that it is lacking-extreme; but if the carrying is more than what is needed it is also extreme. And if there are just enough of men carrying according to its designed the A.I. would say it is balanced. Sometimes the distance and the convenient of the men carrying the idol icon are still reconsidered to avoid any extreme. The considering of time, distance, weather condition, safety of men is essential example in carrying the idol icon because balancing is like a chain of reaction. Balancing would start from the inner most, 1

the birth or cause of the problem then going out until things connected to it are moderated and balanced. Example: if 2 hours carrying under the heat of the sun is extreme then protection is needed; or perhaps just rotation of men carrying could lessen the extremes the original men are exposed. Using shoes could protect the feet from too much radiation from heated overlay asphalted road. Using decent, presentable clothes could reflect to others about the universal teaching about decency and orderliness. And the beauty of being presentable means avoiding anything that is extreme first on anything connected or attached to that thing being balanced thru simple and plain things first. But if there would be a suggestion entering the curious mind to try to penetrate and grab the opportunity to carry too the icon, and the mind decided to believe on the suggestion perhaps that idea if put into action without the permission from the Spiritual leader could be illegal at the start. But if the action has occurred and created chaos but has been tolerated by the spiritual authorities perhaps that authorities could be liable and could be accused of allowing things to go beyond the limits of orderliness. Since the “illegal act” perhaps was justified and has become tradition perhaps “tolerance” was weighted more than “orderliness”; or perhaps that it is bias to others that only the 8 privilege few and the few other rotations have the opportunity to touch or go near the icon; or because a voice entered in the curious mind that if he touches the icon he would be healed of his illness or the sins would be forgiven called perhaps “faith” according to his curiosity “only”. Perhaps that belief or faith is a “controversial” thing or “blurred” thing that should be debated even if the “faith” has caused a tradition of thousand years. Words like: John21:25: Quote. Now, there are many other things that Jesus did. If they were all written down one by one, I suppose that the whole world could not hold the books that would be written. Unquote. These quoted words or just mentioned words were given so much emphasis than the one thought and one purpose - “the commandment of love.” The tilting causes by having too much emphasis on words John 21:25 perhaps breed so many precepts of men, tradition, customs, and others. And if one group would criticize the other words like Matthew 7:1: “Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you.” And also words: James 4:11: Do not criticize one another, my brothers. Whoever criticizes a Christian brother or judge him, criticizes the Law and judges it. Acts 19:11-12: God was performing unusual miracles through Paul. Even handkerchief and aprons he had used were taken to the sick, and their diseases were driven away, and the evil spirit would go out of them. Vs. 1 Corinthians 14:33: quote: because God does not want us to be disorder but in harmony and peace. 1 Corinthians 1:22-25: Jews want miracles for proof, and Greeks look for wisdom. As for us, we proclaim the crucified Christ, a message that is offensive to the Jews and nonsense to the Gentiles; but for those whom God has called, both Jews and Gentiles, this message is Christ, who is the power of God and the wisdom of God. For what seems to be God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and what seems to be God’s weakness is stronger than human strength. Unquote. Words like: small things mean a lot or small thing first or always prepare for action through small things first. Defeat first small bad things or habits. Perhaps the bottom line is: controversial things or blurred things or not clear things first vs. simple, plain, clear, practical things first. Words like Romans 13:8-10: Quote: Be under obligation to no one-the only obligation you have is to love one another. Unquote. Perhaps blurred, controversial things are things beyond the limits of balanced, moderation if love commandment is not done first. Perhaps those leaders who justifies, “blurred” faith that cause disorder could instigate the curious mind not to be sensitive to orderliness which is basic rather could push the curious mind to “hope” and “hope” and waiting for something out of mere “hoping” like: “if I touch the “miraculous” idol icon “miracles” would happened…” which perhaps diverts the curious mind not to reconsider word like ‘if I could be sensitive to small things first and be successful step by step through small things first then it would open to new doors, and open to new challenges and opportunities which is the real hope and miracle. Perhaps ordinary 2

people are just waiting to hear words and the stubborn curious mind would just weigh words & things and compromise words & things that lead to creativity. A priest suggested that a car should instead carry the idol icon like in a float. And perhaps people would wear their best and bring their best offerings if they were successful as thanks giving of the many blessing and people -blessed and not the so blessed- could all together take part of enjoying the blessing together. Or just be simple and orderly and moderate in observing any religious, civic tradition! Or perhaps rotation of how to carry the idol icon, perhaps disorderly last year, this year orderly, next year disorder again. From someone who might be mistaken,
