Nutrition is the element that is contained in food and can be used directly by the body as well as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water. A balanced nutrient needed by the body, therefore living beings should consume foods that are nutritious. To get a balanced nutrition to the body, then the housewives have to keep being in a healthy lifestyle, one trick is to know the nutrition contained on every recipe. The difficulties experienced by the housewife is choosing cooking recipes with basic materials, besides housewife also had difficulty obtaining the correct information related to nutrient content on every dish. The purpose of this research is to design an application supporting the decision to select the materials based on basic cooking recipes and nutritional information contained give each portion. And also made a decision support system for the selection of cooking recipes based on the main base material using TF-IDF. In addition makes it easy for housewives to save the latest recipes that can be written on this application. The results of the testing done, based on a questionnaire that was distributed in the implementation of the outcome of the application for ease of use stated 50% good, 70% of applications very useful recipe, 60% within the thoroughness of recipes, information, and facilities good, 70% beneficial in nutritional information, 80% can save you time display applications, 40% are rated good, 50% benefit media chat applications rated very good. Chat on testing the difference of time (delay) between the sending and receiving data using two different operator packet data network with HSDPA +, on Internet chat groups about 1.07 seconds and for testing personal chat about 0.7 seconds.
