IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEMS WHICH COKE WAS FACING BEFORE IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS INFORMATION SYSTEM 1. It will take more time wasting when there is no information system and now it is quicker take no wastage of time, it is highly quicker. 2. Problems in coordination with other departments head office and other branch offices. 3. Problems in coordination between different departments finance, human resources, marketing, information technology. 4. Problems in data collections. 5. Problems in forecasting. 6. They do not have enough memory to store or collect the data. 7. Data is stayed to the limited department no other department can use the same data at same time.

HOW INFORMATION SYSTEM HELP THE ORGANIZATION IN SOLVING THE PROBLEMS BEING FACED EARLIER? Information is the lifeblood of any organization. Damaged or lost data can cause problems being faced earlier in normal business activities leading to financial losses, law suits, etc. An information system also helps to improve integration and work processes. An information system owes its existence to the target system. For example, production activities would be the target system for a production scheduling information system. The main functions of an information system may be input, processing, output, storage and control at work place. The major benefit is it reduces the wastage of time.

SUGGEST IMPROVEMENTS IN THE EXISTING SYSTEM? There should be wireless network instead of lan connections and cable networks so that we can contact the other plants of coke in different cities of Pakistan where there is no facility of lan and cable networks. There should be introduced wireless networks to minimize the wastage of time .Additional objective is to model and construct functional prototypes of software tools aimed to support project management, IS planning, production and maintenance of quality applications. The ultimate goal of the project is to define a framework for decision support during the whole IS life cycle and to develop methods and CASE tools that can increase efficiency of development and quality of software products. The research is focused on revealing of knowledge insufficiently or inadequately used to solve the problems affected by lack of that knowledge. The expected results are models, methods and tools validated in practice. Many Croatian institutions have obsolete and inadequate information systems and quality computerisation of government institutions is yet to begin. In the near future, one may expect a series of information system restructuring and information system development projects. Interest must be focused on special knowledge and development tools that can improve the chances for successful development. Additional attention should be paid to methods and tools that cannot be acquired on the market,

to inadequate methods and tools, and to software that is unacceptably expensive, in order to consider and propose quality substitutes. Implementation of findings would increase the success of development projects, make Croatia more competitive on the world market and contribute to significant savings.

CONCLUDE THE ASIGNMENT WITH A BRIEF SUMMARY OF WHAT YOU LEARNT OUT OF THIS EXERCISE. We have learnt that information system is the need of companies because it provides us the information relevant to the data without the wastage of time. It is very efficient system; it also helps in the coordination of different departments of same company. It also reduces time and just provides the relevant information which is need and it also reduces paper work. Through information system we can follow when the user can quickly access, understand and respond correctly to that information. Information systems can be powerful tools for business. Often information systems evolve as your business grows. Information systems are rarely out-of-thebox solutions; they are something that grows with you. It is therefore very important that your systems technology allows you to have this path to build upon. You must be able to control the technology and not be locked into a standard boxed solution that only its manufacturers control. You get no assurance that their upgrades will be in line with your business needs of the future. Don’t get locked into inflexible technology, grow a system that delivers on what you really need most today, knowing that when tomorrow’s new challenges come, the system will have the flexibility to adapt.
