Angel Shark Information The Angel Shark unlike its relatives has a flat body with broad pectoral fins, looking closer to a ray or skate. Angel sharks are ovoviviparous, with litters known up to 13 pups. Births pimariliy occur between march and June. Being Ovoviviparous mean that the eggs hatch inside the mother and there is no placenta to sustain the young. The young survive soley on a nutrient rich yolk which when that runs out birth is near.
