They Walked With God

Can you imagine what it would be like to walk with God? There are only two people written of in the manu scripts that had the priviledge of walking with God. They are Enoch and Noah. We are going to cover the in stances where Enoch and Noah walked with God, but even more importantly we are going to cover what it means to you today. You must be weU-pleasing to God, before He will walk with you. Let's begin in Hebrews. Hebrews 11: 1 Now _faith is _the substance of things hoped for, the eli7aence....or1Fii,fgs notsetrn~- -,

You can not see heaven, but faith gives you con fidence that heaven is a reality. Hebrews 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 1 Through faith we understand that t.1e worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

By faith we know of the three world ages. Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

multiplied. 1 Beloved, when I gave all diligence towrile~ unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Elect, don't allow the peace, love and common salva tion message of those with free will to distract you from your duty as God's elect. We have responsibilities. Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, whbwere--oefor(F of old ordained ta-this condemftation,~ ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lascivi ousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

The ungodly men are led by Satan. He wanted to sit on the mercy seat, not protect the mercy seat, denying Jesus Christ. Elect, don't ever forget who the enemy is. Don't ever fail to protect and defend the faith. Jude 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the LORD, having saved the People out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Though Abel is dead, his righteousness still speaks to us. It is better to be pleasing to God as Abel was than to be displeasing to God as Cain was.

How many examples must you have to understand that if you don't believe in God, you are going to be destroyed? What possible use could God have for you, if you don't even believe in Him?

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in ever lasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

What was Enoch's testimony? He taught the truth. Enoch focused on God's Word not the words of men.

These are the fallen angels of Genesis 6. They refused to be born of woman, and left their habitation in heaven against the will of God. The fallen angels went unto the daughters of Adam, and the giants were the resalt. They are doomed, but they have a little work to do still yet. That is why it is important for you to know the Word.

Hebrews 11 :6 But without faith it is impossible to~ please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Do you believe God created the heavens and the earth? Do you have faith that He blesses those who seek Him? If you answered no to either of these questions, you can forget about pleasing God or receiving blessings. There is no such thing as a little faith. You either believe, or you don't believe. What made the teachings of Enoch so special to God? Turn with me to the Book of Jude. Jude 1:1 JUDE, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

Jude was brother to James and one-half brother of Jesus Christ. To whom is Jude writing? He is writing to the called, that is to say God's election. Jude 1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them, in like manner giving themselves over to fornication, and gOing after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of etemal fire.

Our God is a consuming fire (Heb. 12:29). He is Judge. Jude 1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

They scoff at and speak evil of Chrisitianity. Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, liThe LORD rebuke thee. 1/

Don't ever argue with Satan. Jesus gave us power over all of our enemies, including Satan (Luke 10:17-18). Rebuke

became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe unto lhem! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greefJi/y after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

The children of the fallen angels and daughters of Adam were giants, because they were hybrids. This was not natural.

Balaam was in it for the money. Core, the Korah of the Old Testament, was a Levite. He placed himself on an equal footing with Moses and Aaron. God opened the earth's mouth and swallowed Korah and his supporters.

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Almost everywhere God looked on earth He saw perversion. Fallen angels were polluting the seed line through which Christ would be born.

Jude 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear; clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead; plucked up by the roots; 11 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is re served the blackness of darkness for ever.

Genesis 6:6 And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. Z And the LORD said, ., will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air,' for it repenteth Me that I have made them."

"Twice dead" means both physically and spiritually dead. The seven thousand fallen angels have already been sentenced to death (Revelation 11:13).

God understood His plan of salvation was being undermined by Satan and the fallen angels. But our Father is so loving that He knows how to deliver a righteous soul who walks with Him.

Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, "Behold, the LORD cometh with ten thousands of His saints, 1Q To execute judgment upon all, and to convince aI/ that are ungodly among them of a/l their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of aI/ their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

Jude is reminding us to speak out against evil as Enoch spoke out against the fallen angels. Doing so is well-pleasing to God. Turn with me to Genesis. Let's document that Enoch and Noah walked with God. Genesis 5:21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: gg And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

Rest assured Enoch's sons and daughters were taught the truth. Not many others were listening, but Enoch kept right on teaching. Don't mix with the fallen angels! Genesis 5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: If And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch was that special to God. God took Enoch up to Himself as He would later take Elijah. Enoch nor Elijah died. Skip with me to Chapter 6. Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were bam unto them, 2. That the sons of God saw the daugh ters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of a/l which they chose.

It was to be through the daughters of the man Adam that Jesus Christ would come. The sons of God are angels (Job 1:6); however, these particular angels have fallen. This was Satan's plan to destroy the seed line through which Messiah was to be born into the world. Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, "My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." 9. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same

Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 2 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

The word "perfect" in the last verse means "without blemish as to breed or pedigree" in the Hebrew language. Noah's family hadn't mixed with the fallen angels. That was well-pleasing to God. What does all this have to do with you, today? Turn with me to the Book of Matthew. The disciples had asked Christ what was going to happen just prior to His return at the seventh trump. Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only. ;[l But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

"Noe" is transliterated from the Greek name for "Noah". What was going on in the days of Noah? We just read about it. The fallen angels were seducing women. Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark·

It rained for five months. The equivalent time that antichrist will be on earth. Are you in the ark of the last days? Will you be able to weather the five months without being seduced by the antichrist? Truth is the ark., Matthew 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shalf also the coming of the Son of man be.

This is what all of this has to do with you, today. The fallen angels are going to be kicked out of heaven. They will be looking for brides. Will you be their bride, or will you be the bride of Christ? Walk with God as Enoch and Noah did. Be well-pleasing to God.
