AGE : A candidate must be under 32 (thirty-two) years and above 21 (twenty one) years of age on the 1st January, 2009. i.e. he/she Must have been bom not earlier than 2nd January, 1977 and not later than 1st January, 1988. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 (three) years for candidates belonging to Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C.), by 5(five)years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Women, and Ex-Servicemen and by 10(ten) years for Physically Handicapped candidates. The upper age limit is relaxable by 18 years i.e. upto 50 (fifty) years in case of Ayurvedic Medical Officers who are already in Orissa State Government service. Provided that, a candidate who comes under more than one category mentioned above, he/she will be eligible for only one age relaxation benefit, which shall be considered most benefifcial to him/her. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A candidate must have obtained (a) A degree in Ayurveda from a University established by law or a Statutory Board/ Faculty/Examining Body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognised under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970. (b) A post-graduate degree in the subject/ Speciality concerned included in the schedule to Indian Medicine Central Council. Act, 1970 (c) Adequate knowledge in Sanskrit 5. Applications in the prescribed format given below are invited from intending and eligible candidates for engagement as Full Time Resource Persons (FTRPs) for imparting teaching in vocational subjects in Government Vocational Junior Colleges (GVJCs) of the state on contract basis. The scheme of Vocationalisation of Secondary education under which such FTRPs are proposed to be engaged is a temporary scheme which may be discontinued by the state government either wholly or in part at any time without prior notice. Engagement of such resource persons shall in particular be subject to the following terms and conditions. Full Time Resource Persons (FTRPs) shall only be engaged in approved vocational subjects and such engagement shall be made on contract basis initially for a period of one year which may be extended for a period not exceeding one year at a time, as government may determine, subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuance of the vocational subjects in the institution as well as need for the post which would be decided by Government. Eligibility: (a) He/She shall be a citizen of India (b) He/She must be able to speak, read and write Oriya and must have passed the H .S.C. Examination or equivalent examination with Oriya as a language subject or passed Oriya test examination equivalent to M.E;.School standardconducted for the purpose (c) He/She must possess the qualification and experience relevant to the trades as stated above (d) The candidate shall have attained the age of 21 years and shall not have attained the age of 40 years as on 25th June 2009. Provided that if suitable candidates are not available within the age group specified above, a candidate who has crossed the age of 40 years or a retired person of any age possessing requisite qualification and experience may be considered. The FTRP shall be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs.5,000/- per month. No other allowances shall be admissible. Remuneration shall be proportionately reduced in case a FTRP remains absent otherwise than on Casual Leave or on official duty with approval of the competent authority. INDIAN AIR FORCE INVITES APPLICATIONS FROM UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES FOR SELECTION TEST IN AUGUST 2009 TO JOIN AS AN AIRMAN IN GROUP ‘Y’ TRADES 1.

Indian Air Force invites applications from unmarried male Indian citizens (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection as an Airman in Group ‘Y’ trades. THE RECRUITMENT TEST IS NOT FOR SELECTION AS OFFICERS/PILOTS/NAVIGATORS. ELIGIBILITY 2. Qualification. Candidate should have Passed Intermediate/10+2 with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects or equivalent vocational courses with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Vocational courses conducted by CBSE and Kerala Board recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) only are eligible. 3. President, Central Airmen Selection Board reserves the right to shortlist the applications on the basis of available vacancies and number of eligible applicants. Age. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Tenure & Training. Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable up to the age of 57 years. Initially 6. candidates-will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) for 12 weeks at Basic Training Institute, Belgaum (Karnataka). On successful completion of JBPT, candidates will be allocated trades and sent for trade training of specified durations. Training is however liable to be terminated at any time if the trainee fails to achieve the required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found to be medically unfit. AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING, THE AIRMEN WILL BE DEPLOYED ON GROUND BASED JOBS AS PER THEIR ALLOTTED TRADES. Pay & Allowances. During training, a stipend of Rs. 5,700/-pm will be paid. On completion of training the 7. starting’ gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay will be Rs. 12,500/-pm (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs 24.500/- pm (approximately) as per Sixth pay.commission depending upon the rank attained. In addition, perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical Facilities, Accommodation, Leave Travel’Concession (LTC) etc. are also provided as per the existing rules. Promotion. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Warrant Officer (MWO). Opportunities to 8. become a Commissioned Officer also exist for those airmen who qualify the prescribed examinations, later during their service career. SELECTION PROCEDURE Written Test. Eligible candidates will be sent Admit Cards to appear for the test scheduled to be held during 9. August 2009 at the examination centres listed at para 15. Candidates will be tested in English as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE and Reasoning & General Awareness (RGA). Question papers will be objective type and bilingual (English & Hindi) except English Paper. Duration of Written Test will be 45 minutes. CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day. 10. Physical Fitness Test (PFT). All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates completing the PFT in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds-will be awarded additional marks on a sliding scale. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts. Interview. Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be interviewed. Working knowledge of 11. English is a prerequisite. 12. MEDICAL EXAMINATION. Candidates who qualify in the interview will be medically examined. Medical Examination will be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards. Candidates declared Temporary Medically Unfit will be required to report to the respective Airmen Selection Centre (ASC) within a maximum period of 42 days for review from the date of Recruiting Medical Examination. Candidates declared Medically Unfit can avail the option for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) against their Unfitness by depositing Rs. 40/- in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI through Military Receivable Order (MRO). The application for AMB along with original copy of MRO, Xerox copy of Unfitness Certificate and Postal Stamp worth Rs. 25/- affixed on a self addressed envelope are to be submitted to the respective ASC for processing within seven working days from the date of issue of Medical Certificate. NOTE :- Candidates are advised to get tartar & stains removed from their teeth before appearing for the written test. Ears should be free of wax. GENERAL 13. (a) Candidates must indicate three choices of the examination centre in order of preference.
