PATTERNS FOR CROCHETED SOCK EDGINGS Pattern #1= Fuzzy Purple Sock Edging Materials Needed RED HEART® Ltd. “Foxy™”, Art. E724, 100% Polyester (1.76 ounce/89 yard ball): 1 Ball No. 9379 Plummy. 1 Pair Thin ribbed baby socks Size 7 Steel Crochet hook Small Tapestry Needle to hide work

*Note- Keep socks turned “right-side-out” for this pattern*

Round 1- With back of sock facing you, join yarn with sl st in rib of sock edge. Ch 1, 48 sc around edge of sock. Join with sl st in first sc. Do not turn. Work is done in rounds. Round 2+3 -Ch 1, sc in ea sc around, join with sl st in first sc. Finish off. Weave in ends. Fold sock edge down. Repeat for second sock.

Pattern #2- Burgundy Sock Edging (or Color Desired) Materials Needed 1 Pair Thin ribbed baby socks Crochet thread size 10 in desired color Size 7 Steel Crochet hook Small Tapestry Needle to hide work Shell st- 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc *Note- Turn socks inside-out for this pattern Round 1- With back of sock facing you, join thread with sl st in rib of sock edge. Ch 1, 48 sc around edge of sock. Join with sl st in first sc. Do not turn. Work is done in rounds. Round 2- Ch 3, dc in next 4 sc, (2 dc, ch2, 2 dc in next sc; shell made), *dc in next 5 sc, shell in next sc*; repeat from *to * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Round 3- Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, *shell in ch 2 space of shell from previous row, dc in next 5 dc*; repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Finish off. Weave in loose ends. Turn sock right-side-out and fold sock edge down. Repeat for second sock.

Pattern #3- Yellow Sock Edging (or Color Desired) Materials Needed 1 Pair Thin ribbed baby socks Crochet thread size 10 in desired color Size 7 Steel Crochet hook Small Tapestry Needle to hide work *Note- Turn socks inside-out for this pattern Round 1- With back of sock facing you, join thread with sl st in rib of sock edge. Ch 1, 48 sc around edge of sock. Join with sl st in first sc. Do not turn. Work is done in rounds. Round 2- Ch 3, (counts as 1st double crochet now and throughout), 3 dc in next sc, *dc in next sc, 3 dc in next sc*; repeat from * to * around; join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. Round 3- Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each dc around; join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. Round 4- *Ch 3, sk next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3*; repeat from * to * around; join with sc in same st as beg ch 3, finish off. Weave in loose ends. Turn sock right-sideout and fold sock edge down. Repeat for second sock.
