Field Trip Please remember that we have a field trip planned next week on Thursday, April 4, to visit the Memphis Botanic Garden where we will learn about fruits and vegetables. If you are planning to go with us, please meet us there at 9:00. You will need to pay $5 at the door or use your membership card, if you have one.

Spelling List

Spelling List #22: old, find, taking, fault, saw, plastic, now, shouted, joining, starvation, word, four The kind old man told me some tales. The little lost kitten was both blind and cold. The child romped and played in the straw. Its sharp claws got me as it jumped on my lap.

Poetry Project Next week we will begin a unit about poetry in English. For this project, your child needs to be looking for his or her favorite poem. This favorite poem needs to be turned in to me by Wednesday, April 24. By the way, did you know that April is National Poetry Month? You might want to take this opportunity to share your favorite poem with your child!

Spelling & Memory Verse

We will have a spelling test and a memory verse test on Friday of next week. The new spelling list and memory verse are both being sent home today in your child’s folder.

Memory Verse

Reading Calendar

A new reading calendar is being sent home today. Please return the March calendar on Monday .
