CONTRACTUAL PROJECT APPOINTMENTS The Directorate, Family Welfare, Govt. of Orissa and NRHM Orissa in order to accelerate achievement of Millennium Development Goal 4 in state had established State Meternal and Child Survival Cell (SMCSC) at the Directorate of Family Welfare and 16 District Maternal and Child Survival Cell (DMCSC). The districts are Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Boudh, Gajapati, Sundrgarh, Debgarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore. All the eligible applicants who have submitted their online applications properly in time will be administered a written examination , without verification of their age or qualification or category or any other eligibility Crieteria with relevance to documents and will be purely on provisional basis, on the strength of the information provided by them in the online application. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective tests which will result in negative marks for every wrong answer @ one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question. If the total of the penalty for a test is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer. The candidate shall be required to qualify in each objective test as per cut-off mark determined on the basis of performance in each test, subject to minimum of 40% ( 35% for reserved category) in the aggregate of 200 marks for the objective test. The mode of selection of candidates shall be personal interview. To arrive at the ratio of 1:6 first all the unreserved candidates will be grouped along with those reserved category candidates who have not taken any relaxation with respect to age /marks ( in both ITI & NAC ). In case of a tie at cut –off percentage of marks all the scoring the cut off marks will be called for the Written Exam.

The above vacancies are tentative and subject to revision based on final assessment. Out of the above 30 vacancies, 01 is reserved for Physically Challenged (Locomotor or Hearing Challenged and Visually Challenged) candidates. RESERVATION & RELAXATION: •

Physically Challenged candidates shall be invited for written exam by according 5%age point relaxation in the cut off %age determined for each category. First , candidates who appeared under the unreserved category will be short listed in the ratio of 1:6 to the number of unreserved vacancies for being called for interview. ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS FOR EXPERIENCE: The required experience should be with reputed organization engaged in engineering of Thermal Power Plants of minimum rating of 100 MW/ Unit. The organization should have completed engineering of a minimum of 2 thermal power plants of 100MW/Unit or more during the last 5 years. The organization should also be certified under ISO 9001-2000. Experience in organizations doing engineering of other Heavy Industrial Plants such as Petrochemicals and Gas Nuclear & Hydro Power Plants may also be considered.

SPECIFIC DISCIPLINE-WISE WORK EXPERIENCE LARGELY IN FOLLOWING AREAS:

Age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for Physically Challenged candidates (Locomotor or Hearing Impairment disability). Relaxation in upper age- limit for Ex-Servicemen is 3 years and 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 Disabilities under Persons with Disability Act are defined as Locomotor Disability (Orthopedically Handicapped)- means at least 40% disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs. Hearing Impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.

MECHANICAL x Proposal/Basic/Detailed Engineering for Thermal Power Plants in the areas of Plot Plan & Main Equipment Layout for Power Block, Piping Plans & Isometrics, Stress Analysis and Hanger Engineering. Familiarity with drafting packages like AUTOCAD is essential. Exposure to National/International Piping and Valves Standards is necessary. It is desirable to have exposure to knowledge of latest 3D modeling tools, preferably PDMS and Stress Analysis Package like CAESAR etc. x System Engineering of Power Cycle Systems, Water System Engg. including procurement engg. of associated equipments viz Cooling Towers, Pumps etc. x Coal Handling Plant, Ash Handling Plant, Limestone Milling & transportation System, HVAC, Fire Protection Systems, Compressors, Cranes, Elevators, Water Treatment Plants, Waste/Sewage Treatment Plants.

ELECTRICAL Proposal/basic/detailed/procurement engineering and site support activities for thermal power plants in the functional areas of electrical equipment selection and sizing, generator and transformer protection, AC auxiliary system protection, electrical controls, and layout, cabling and grounding etc. The design activities include preparation of design documentation/ calculations, schematic layout drawings, cable schedules and interconnections, and relay setting calculations. Procurement engineering activities include preparation of technical specifications, technical review of offers, and vendor document review.

MODE OF SELECTION: The mode of selection of candidates shall be personal interview. However, if the number of eligible applications received for a particular position in excess of 1:10 to the no. of vacancies, Written Test shall be conducted only for the purposes of short listing candidates in the ratio of 1:3 for being called for interview, on the basis of their Written Test marks. In the event of receiving good response of applications the maximum no. of candidates to be called for written test will be in the ratio of 1:20 to the no. of vacancies.
