DATE AND VENUE The Prima Pasta Invitational Badminton Open 2010 will be held at Powersmash, Makati City on January 30, 31 & Febuary 6, 2010. CATEGORY-LEVELS-EVENTS 2.1 Category - Levels 2.1.1 Open 8-16 entries] [MD,XD] 2.1.2 Level A – Elite [16 entries] [MD, WD, XD] 2.1.3 Level B – Advanced I [16 entries] [MD, WD, XD] 2.1.4 Level C – Advanced II [16 entries] [MD, WD, XD] 2.1.5 Level D – Intermediate I [16 entries] [MD, WD, XD] 2.1.6 Level E – Intermediate II [16 entries] [MD, WD, XD] 2.1.7 Level F – Intermediate III [16 entries] [MD, WD, XD] 2.1.8 Level G - Beginner 2.2 Events 2.2.1 Men’s Doubles [A, C, D, E, F, G] Jan 30, 2010, Sat 2.2.2 Women’s Doubles [A, B, C, D, E, F]; MD [Open & B] Jan 31, 2010, Sun 2.2.3 Mixed Doubles [Open, A, B, C, D, E, F, G] Feb 6, 2010, Sat ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRIES 3.1 Players must be at least 14 years of age or born in 1996 or earlier. They submit along with their entry form any document to prove their age to the organizing committee. 3.2 Entry fee is P800 per person. 3.3 The tournament is open to Current and former national players, trainers, coaches and varsity players and will be leveled according to their skill level. 3.4 The tournament is open to non-Filipinos but player must be paired with a Filipino. 3.5 All entries not paid will not be placed in the official list. 3.6 There will be a limited number of entries available. Priority will be given to early paid registrants. A waiting list will be made per category level. In the event of a withdrawal, the organizing committee has the right to replace an entry with an entry from the waiting list as long as the competition has not started. 3.7 Players may email ([email protected]) the organizing committee any questions and contentions prior to the final posting of the draw. Questions regarding eligibility and level will not be entertained during the tournament. COMPETITION RULES 4.1 Competition Format: 4.1.1 The competition will be composed of 2-stages: 4.1.1.1 Qualifying Stage: Single Round Robin 4.1.1.2 Main Draw: Single Elimination or Round Robin 4.1.2 The technical committee will determine how many from each group will qualify for the main draw. Players must understand their qualifying and main draw format. 4.2 Scoring 4.2.1 Qualifying up to SF: 1 straight to 15, rally point. Best of 3 games. 30 sec towel break at 8 points. No setting at 14-all. 1-Minute interval in between games. 4.2.2 Finals: 1 to 21, rally point.
