Gary Mex Glazner poet, teacher and arts activist, is the Managing Director of the legendary Bowery Poetry Club in New York City. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project which the National Endowment of the Arts listed as a “best practice” for their Arts and Aging Initiative. NBC’s Today Show, NPR’s Weekend Edition, and Voice of America have featured segments on Glazner’s work. Since 1990, he has worked on poets-in-the-schools projects. In 2006, the Santa Fe Opera commissioned him to create a youth performance on the life and work of Spanish poet Fernando Federico Lorca for their Lorca Festival. He is the author of “How to Make a Living as a Poet” and “How to Make a Life as a Poet” and his poems have been published by Harper Colllins, W.W. Norton,

wordist, taught Comparative Literature at UC Davis and currently teaches writing & language courses online. She curates and writes a number of blogs including Poets & Writers Picnic and the popular Mountain Arts. She has a special interest in oral traditions in poetry.

poet and artist living in Albuquerque and Torreon, NM, founder of Mountainair’s annual Poets’ & Writers’ Picnic, long-time editor of Central Avenue monthly poetry magazine and reading series. She enjoys performing her poetry at regional arts venues.
