I began this business, which offers several types of supplemental education to middle and high school students. I taught several undergraduate mathematics courses, creating all lesson plans and testing material. I served on faculty boards that chose textbooks, made curriculum decisions, and worked to implement general study skills into the remedial math courses. I held office hours and study sessions outside lecture time to ensure students were able to perform their best.
Summer Institute Instructor Summer 2003, 2004, and 2005 Project GRAD
Chosen during the pilot year of this program designed to encourage and empower inner city high school students to attend college, I created the mathematics curriculum (2003) and the ACT prep curriculum (2004, 2005) for this program. I collaborated with teachers in various fields to devise the connected interdisciplinary curriculum. All math and ACT prep instructors then implemented the curriculum I designed.
