2009 Children’s Mental Health Week Poster Contest In honor of Children’s Mental Health Week May 2-8, 2009, The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families is sponsoring a Children’s Mental Health Week Poster Contest. The contest is open to all Renfrew County children between the ages of 4 and 17. Posters will be judged by the following 3 age categories: 4-7, 8-12, and 13-17. The theme of the poster “CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN” should reflect thoughts, ideas and facts to heighten awareness about Children’s Mental Health Week.” A winner will be chosen from each age category and will receive $100.00. The deadline for entry is Monday, April 27th, 2009. Rules: 1. The theme of poster is “Children Helping Children”. 2. Poster size may not exceed 16” x 20” 3. All posters must be unframed and un-mounted 4. All posters must be all original work (no magazine or copyrighted material) 5. Posters can be submitted in any form of media: crayon, marker, paint, etc. 6. All posters must express the theme: “Children Helping Children” 7. All posters submitted become property of the Phoenix Centre for Children and Families, and may be displayed on the website and Phoenix Centre publications and/or in locations throughout the community. Submitted posters will not be returned to the original artist. 8. Posters must be mailed or brought in to the following Phoenix Centre sites by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27th, 2009. No late entries will be accepted: Pembroke: 130 Pembroke St. W., Suite 200, Pembroke ON K8A 5M8 Petawawa: 12 Reichwald Cres., CFB Petawawa, ON K8H 1J4 Renfrew: 191 Plaunt St. S., Renfrew, Ontario, K7V 1M7 9. Must have name, address, phone number and name of school on back of poster.

Prizing and Notification of Winners: There will be one winning entry of $100.00 in each category. The winners will be selected by the Board of Directors of the Phoenix Centre and will be presented with their prizes during Children’s Mental Health Week. Winners will be notified by phone no later than Friday May 1st. Posters will be displayed at our main location: 130 Pembroke St. West
