Dear Yiheng Feng, Thank you for your message. We do not agree with the procedure you are proposing. We know that the Global Compact is not designed to examinate their participants` performance. However, such an investigation on Bayer`s violations is not necessary. It has already been conducted by the U.S. House of Representatives and was published at http://energycommerce.house.gov/index.php? option=com_content&view=article&id=1583&catid=133&Itemid=73. We assume that you regard a U.S. House Committee investigation as a reliable source. Therefore we ask you – as outlined in the GC Integrity Measures – to either refer the matter to one or more of the UN entities that are the guardians of the Global Compact principles for advice, assistance or action or to refer the matter to the Global Compact Board to discuss the findings of the House of Representatives, and to decide about the removal of the company from the list of participants.
