He wants people to pick up their area every couple of weeks. Mark Canney said the median revitalization will be done in phases. The first phase is West Highland Blvd. The turnabout is being considered for a grant later in the season. He will bring something in and get our feedback in August or September. Tommy Taylor said that he has noticed that 53 memberships have expired and we have 43 new memberships. Tommy said that he still wants to call people with expired memberships. If he accesses the County Assessors website he can check if they have moved. Tami Soper commented on the Egg Hunt. We had a good turnout despite the cold weather. Bill Schlautman suggested that next year we put out more eggs in the little kid’s areas and spread out the eggs in a larger area so that they have to run to get them. Kris Meek asked what the other members thought about having St. Mark’s Church at our Egg Hunt. They served coffee and cocoa and helped us put out the eggs, but we aren’t sure if the people who came thought it was St. Mark’s Egg hunt. The members thought we need to get a big Highlands Neighborhood Banner. Jim Klein made a motion that we donate $50 to Lancaster Manor for stuffing the eggs. Seconded by Tami Soper. Approved. Other donors were Wal-Mart ($100 gift card) and CVS Drug Store (candy). We spent about $40 of the gift card on clearance plastic eggs. Myrna Coleman suggested that we send thank you cards to the donors and Lancaster Manor. If any members have pictures of the Egg Hunt send them to Andrew Brown so he can put them on the web site.

Rose Klein made a motion to send a donation of $150 to Troop 56 leader Ken Miller for delivering the spring newsletters. Seconded by Tami Soper. Approved. Myrna Coleman asked about prospective topics for future meetings. Myrna will schedule a presentation on Recycling for May.
