Meeting Minutes December 17, 2007 Board members present: Tommy Taylor, Bill Schlautman, Harold Hostetter, Dianna Wright, Myrna Coleman, Rose Klein, Jim Klein, Kris Meek and Evelyn Taylor. Prizes for the HNA Lighting Contest have been gathered by Kris Meek, Dianna Wright, Myrna Coleman and Rose Klein. The prize list for the Lighting Contest: $50 gift card from Hy-Vee 2 months free pick-up service from L&W Garbage Service 2 months free pick-up service from L&W Garbage Service Lighted Holiday Igloo and Polar Bear from QP-Ace Hardware $25 gift certificate from Down the Hatch Dinner for Two from Cracker Barrel Dinner for Two from Carlos O’Kellys Mexican Café Dinner for Two from Village Inn One oil change from Graham Tire $25 gift card from Hy-Vee $20 gift card from Walgreen’s 1 family special gift certificate from Papa Johns Pizza ($20) 1 family special gift certificate from Papa Johns Pizza ($20) Three woven blankets from Sandhills Publishing The Lighting Contest Judges will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fredstrom School. Bill Schlautman will drive and judge along with Dianna Wright, Tommy Taylor, Harold Hostetter and Councilman John Spatz On Wednesday Dianna Wright and Harold Hostetter are available to finish the judging. Jim Klein said that he would deliver prizes to the North Highlands and Bill Schlautman said that he would deliver the South Highlands. Rose Klein suggested that in the next newsletter (before the Egg Hunt) we do an item that all homeowners should have their house numbers clearly visible from the street. Jim Klein made a motion to pay Kris Meek $148.73 for printing costs for the newsletter. Seconded by Dianna Wright. Approved. Jim Klein also paid $150 to Ken Miller’s Boy Scout Troop 756 for delivering the newsletters. (As per standing motion.) Mark Canney, Park Planner for Lincoln Parks and Recreation will come to the January 21 meeting to get our input on new plantings for West Highland Blvd. Elections for officers will

be held at the February meeting. The next meeting will be Monday, January 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Highlands Golf Course Club House. (Fredstrom School will be closed Jan. 21 for the Martin Luther King holiday and February 18 for President’s Day.)
