Tim Writes There's a lot to write about in this newsletter and not much room. So here we go. Lois Mills is no longer able to speak next Sunday due to her husband Geoff having cardiac surgery. Please pray for him. Next week will be our shared meal so please bring some food to share. All are welcome to sit in on synod in the visitors gallery and to attend the synod service. See "What's On This Week" column for times. Steve Wockner is being ordained and inducted at Westport as their new minister on Wed at 7pm. All welcome to attend. Lastly we have a wee lad called Kallum who visits us regularly on Sundays. Some I know find him very challenging because he has no understanding of boundaries, but at one level that is not surprising. But rather than seeing him as a nuisance why not see it as our responsibility to help teach him and shape his behaviour. I have no intention of letting him get away with inappropriate behaviour but I need your help. Let's all work together to show this young man a different and better
HELPERS FOR SYNOD AFTERNOON TEAS Next week the Nelson Diocesan Synod will be hosted by the Greymouth Parish. Our Parish will be looking after the afternoon teas on Thursday at 4pm and Friday at 3:15pm. We need at least four people for each of those days as well as offers of baking etc. Please see Nancy Holman if you can help 768-7704. You will need to be available for about 2 hours each day
for set up, serving and clearing away. Thursday from 3:15-5:15pm and Friday 2:30-4:30pm. A SECOND MEN'S 4 x 4 GROUP? The first men's 4x4 group is going so well we have decided to set up a second. Henk Stengs will be leading it and approaching a number of guys in the near future. If you are interested in being a part of such a group please see Tim or Henk. We may even start a third.

If you are the last person leaving the church after any service or event please ensure all the doors are locked especially the kitchen door. It's easy to do. Just push in the central button on the door handles. PIZZAS FOR SALE We are down to 5 pizzas. If you would like one then this is probably your last chance to get one.
