PT. Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) intends to build a geothermal power plant (GPP) with a capacity of 30 MW in Desa Laksana, Kecamatan Ibun, Kabupaten Bandung, West Java Province. The project is a Total Project, is a new development of geothermal installations from the upstream to downstream, in which PGE will prepare all aspects: from distribution of steam from the wells to the plant, construction of GPP, and transmission of electrical energy from GPP to PT. PLN (PLN) through the interconnection of Java-MaduraBali (Jamali). PGE appointed PT.LAPI ITB as Main Contractor and appointed ELCElectroconsult (ELC) as the subconsultant of this FEED project. This document summarize the progress of FEED work of GPP Kamojang unit 5 in the project "Pembuatan Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Total Project Kamojang unit-5 (1x30MW)".

Key Progress 1. PGE has shared GPP unit 4 operational challenges they encountered. 2. ELC has developed 3D modeling of GPP power house, main equipments, and cooling tower to show PGE proposed solution for space optimatization in based on PGE’s design constrain. 3. Project Realization
We are sending 22 documents out of 237 documents. Only two out of 22 documents have been reviewed by PGE. 3
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND PROPOSED SOLUTIONS
3.1
Problems Encountered
Steam gathering system: •
PGE have yet to provide flowrate and pressure for each well in cluster A and C. Well data from different cluster is cannot be used as an assumption because there is big difference in well characteristic. An assumptions will need to be made and must be agreed with PGE as soon as possible.
•
PFD and P&ID need to be fixed soon.
•
Topographic data: o
there is missing information on topographic data such as horizontal distance in each longitudinal section point.
o
Some longitudinal section data seems to be inaccurate. We find some data is mirrored or horizontal distance is different.
o

No data topographic and existing pipeline from:
GPP to WPS
WPS to injection well
GPP to rock muffler

An intensive meeting is required to fix technical issues as mentioned above. 4
